This song! Ackkk!! I remember him singing this on stage when our school was celebrating Buwan ng Wika. He was the representative for our curriculum and could choose any local song he wanted. This guy was the first person I really liked. Everything he did made me smile; he was like a walking green flag. Last school year, I was a transfer student, and I knew him from our elementary days. When I transferred to my new school, I had a short fling that lasted only two months. At that time, he had a girlfriend, but they broke up because she cheated on him. He didn’t deserve that because he deserves all the love in the world. Currently, we are best friends, and all of my classmates assumed we were together because of our closeness. To go along with their assumptions, we joked about being each other's rebound and not falling for each other. Months passed, and I started seeing him just as my best friend and part of our fake relationship. One Friday, during a casual class because our school had a project, he sang a song titled "Magbalik" with his guitar. I just stared at him and realized that I had fallen for him. My best friend noticed my reaction, and although I was in denial at first, when I finally accepted that I really liked him, I ended up crying. It was a weird feeling, but I knew I was genuinely happy. After a week, he noticed my behavior and confronted me. I confessed that I liked him too, and it turned out he liked me as well. We became an "M.U." (mutual understanding) since I wasn’t allowed to have a boyfriend. He was understanding, and we continued being M.U.s until my family problems started. When I was frustrated, I became cold towards him without explanation (I know that's a red flag). I kept my problems to myself, but he remained understanding and supportive. He's loyal and caring-he would shield me from the rain, cheer me up when I cried, carry my bag home, walk with me, and sing songs with me. He even put my picture in his phone case and used my face as his avatar in an online game. Despite his support, my family problems, mental health issues, and pressure worsened. I decided to distance myself from him to avoid hurting him. I didn't want to say anything that I might regret later. We started talking again, but my situation was still difficult, which is why we had limited interactions. Now that we’re in a higher grade, our school has many sections, and guess what? We’re classmates again! We don’t talk or have any conversations, and I'm grateful for my friend who tells me everything. Sometimes, she even acts as our messenger. Back to the song-when we were on stage, during the chorus, I cheered and shouted his last name. I don't know why, but I felt genuinely happy. Everyone else shouted too, which was a bit embarrassing for me. I saw him get flustered and mess up a little, which made me smile. I’m not sure if I’m just assuming, but his friend mentioned that the song was for me. Tomorrow, a friend said he wanted to talk to me privately, but I’m afraid he might disappoint me, so I’ve been avoiding him, which makes me sad. I want to hug him so badly right now!

I really love Silent Sanctuary band since bata pa ako. Turning 2 years na kami sa bf ko. May tawa, saya, lungkot, kulitan, drama at away din, minsan din nag ooverthink ako at na iinsecure sa mga past relationship niya which is siya kasi first bf ko kaya parang unfair sakin. Pero sabi niya pakinggan ko daw ang kantang iyan "14" nakakatawa lang kasi 14 din yong monthsary namin at syempre favorite band ko pa ang kumanta. I first listened to this song when I was in 8th grade. Single and youthful. i never understood how it feels to be loved and how to love someone with a sincere heart. Everytime i listen to this during my highschool days i feel so light-hearted at the same time i felt that heartache thinking I won't find somebody the way the song portrays about someone. Not until I've experienced my first heart break. in senior highschool, I've realized it wasn't real love. fast forward I still listen to this song. I'm a Second year college and I've found someone that's worth dedicating this song to them. He holds a special place to my heart. And everytime I listen to this it eases my heart while thinking about him, how he's done a lot in this relationship. I'm so thankful to God that I met him my one and only lifetime partner. 🩷

Way back 2023 g11 kami, there's this girl na dumaan lang sa neewsfeed ko. She's my schoolmate and nakuha niya ang atensyon ko but i don't know her name. Then 2024 g12 na kami, nakita ko ulit siya which makes my feelings back dahil naging magkatabing room kami. I tried to find her name sa masterlist na pinost ng school namin sa kada section since na love at first sight talaga ko sa kanya, until nahanap ko ang name niya. Same kami ng strand which is stem and same kami ng teacher. One day our teachers announced the top students who got the highest grade in her subject which is physics, and she's one of the students who got the highest grade na ini-announce samin since magkaiba kami ng section. From that nagkaron ako ng idea para makapag first move sa kanya. So basically ang unang chat ko sa kanya is sinabi ko yung grade nya in that subject since by section ang pasok namin that time na inanounce and wala silang pasok so hindi niya alam. Nag chat ako randomly kahit wala siyang idea kung sino ako, but from that convo ito 6months na kami. So thanks to my p6 teacher for giving me that idea to do that first move. I dedicate this song to her because as the lyrics said, "ikaw lang ang nais kong makasama" i know na masyado pa tayong bata but naniniwala ako na ikaw ang magiging endgame ko. So to the future of us, I hope na masaya and successful na tayo sa buhay. After college (4yrs) babalikan ko tong comment na to, dahil naniniwala ako na we are still together at that time. I always listen to this song to kept myself assured that I'm the only one that he loves. Almost a year na puro overthink lang ako kase iniisip ko na ako yung rason bat sila nag hiwalay ng ex niya kase mas pinili niya ako. 2020 when I finally decided na gusto ko na ng peace of mind. He always tried to give me assurance but I think it's not enough to assured me. I always felt na parang may mali. One day, I tell him frankly na ayaw ko na and we will cut our communication. He agreed with my decision. Legit yung sakit na kahit ikaw yung tunay at genuine yung pagmamahal na nagpaparamdam sakanya. Ikaw yung nandon nung mga panahon na nahihirapan siya kahit may problema ka din na nagpapahirap sayo pero pinili mo pa din na maging sandalan niya kasi ayaw mo siyang nakikitang nahihirapan ng sobra. But at the end of the day, hindi pa din ikaw yung mahal niya, na mahal ka lang niya dahil sa mga ginagawa mo para sakanya pero hindi ikaw mismo. And most of all, hindi pa din ikaw yung pinili.
