For future videos. UY Scuti's size is 909 SR not 1708 and Stephenson 2-18 is about 1000 not 2150 Edit DFK 1 was used in the moons orbits, my mistake. 6 months ago
@coolboylikesplanets4Ай бұрын
stephenson 2-18 doesnt have a size, and ramesh already knows.

@@coolboylikesplanets4 Last time they were both used in a non retro video was the new Universe Size Comparison Cinematic in 2023 and both sizes were probably shrunk before the non-nostalgic cinematic

@@coolboylikesplanets4 Well DFK 1 might've had an inaccurate size and what video was it used after the cinematic
@SamHalls2015Ай бұрын
@coolboylikesplanets4 Stephenson 2-18 has a size, but it's undetermined, but it's most likely less than 1000 times that of the sun (~1000 solar radii is an upper limit for Stephenson 2-18's size) considering that luminous RSGs don't cool to 3300 K, the approximate temperature for the star. So assuming spectral class M6, the possibility of Stephenson 2-18 being a luminous RSG has already been ruled out.

Because Stephensons size is undetermined, and Ramesh didn’t want to put fake facts, so he just made the largest star UY Scuti for a while.

@@n.a.7776 no. because these videos were made in 2019, before stephenson 2-18 even became teh largest star. and yes stephenson 2-18 isnt the largest even today, woh g64 is.
