Former ESPN Analyst Says Deion Sanders Is 'Grossly Underpaid'
Deion Sanders has immediately turned the Colorado football program from one of the worst teams in the country to one of the most talked-about teams in college football.
The positive attention is one thing - and the money is another.
Coach Prime has helped the football program reach an estimated ad value of just under $100 million through the team's first three games of the 2023 season.
“The university ran a report on the equivalent ad value of the media coverage since the season started and estimated it at $90.55 million," the Daily Camera reports.
Sanders signed a five-year, $29.5 million contract with Colorado this past offseason. When you factor in all the money he's brought in for the program, that contract is already starting to pay for itself.
"So Deion is grossly underpaid. To be honest, you could argue he started off that way given the level of exposure that team received from the start," former ESPN personality Jemele Hill wrote on social media.
Sanders and the Buffaloes are 3-0 as they head into tomorrow afternoon's away matchup against the No. 10 Oregon Ducks. Win or lose, Coach Prime will be bringing in some major cash for the Colorado program.

Too soon to say. It's still about winning in college. The Buffs have only played 3 games and all of a sudden people are saying he needs a raise. When people agree to work a job and negotiate their salary, if business picks up, companies don't all of a sudden give you a raise the next month. Winning games and consistently getting the team to major Bowl games gets you raises in college football. When the Buffs start losing games all the attention they have generated won't mean much. This is crazy. It feels like this is gaslighting our own people. I believe wholeheartedly that Coach Prime knows what contract he signed and for how much. He isn't dumb or stupid. He knows what he is doing. Also on any given day I rather see the black celebrities at football games encouraging and supporting our kids than fighting and threatening and killing each other in their music and on the internet. They are surrounded by a positive attitude and focused on the assignment at hand. They are being schooled with knowledge of real-time which is valuable to our existence in life. This outweighs the money because the money is coming in from different avenues with additional valuable perks for not one but for many others. This is what black people fail to see in the bigger picture that is manifesting in front of our eyes. We are closed-minded and put ourselves in a closed room and fight our own self and if we get out we fight each other and destroy ourselves. We won't disappoint with it because we refuse to change and grow up and be useful in making our lives worthwhile. It's ridiculous 😢😢

"All white, Lily white" Why does it always have to be a race thing. Jackson wasn't paying the man. At least he is getting some money at Colorado. No matter the color of your skin, you set yourself up for success. That's what Coach Prime is doing. He is setting himself up for success and his boys for success. I truly believe he is a man of GOD who truly wants to see people of all colors succeed. He didn't abandon the "HBCU mission". He was pouring his own money into Jackson and not getting paid. All the black people who are butt hurt about him leaving, why didn't they put their money in the school to help keep him there.
