Thanks for posting this. It's amazing how much North Campus has changed since I lived there during my freshman year, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Bursley had just opened, the Commons wasn't open yet. Those two and married students housing were literally the only buildings there. It was a drag being so far from central campus, and having to ride the bus to and from for classes and everything else (a friend and I were ushers at Hill for a while), but my dorm-mates and I had fun. My roommate and I were the pranksters on our hall.

Wow, I was there when North Campus Media Center (now Duderstadt Center) had just opened to the public and Charles Woodson won the Heiseman Trophy. Tom Brady wasn’t the quarterback until after I had graduated.

@@MooMooAway So, 30 years after I started my freshman year (August 1967)! Sadly, I was only there that year, then transferred to UCLA because the out-ot-state tuition was extremely expensive. (My Mom's family were all in Michigan, but our family had moved to L.A.) I loved that year, though.

UCLA is where my friend went to :-) Yeah, I agree that out-of-state tuition fee could put a huge burden on students… especially nowadays.

North Campus hasn't changed much since I graduated in 2000. I miss meals I had at the Bursley cafeteria. And as for those Michigan roads, they are still there, and I am at a loss.
