Hey everyone, apologies for the audio during the tour-my new camera and mic did not arrive in time for the visit to Ann Arbor. If there’s anything you didn’t catch clearly, be sure to turn on subtitles!

Great informative video. I’m thinking of applying and this really helped. You’re the MVP for making this. Great take.

Great tour. It has been years since I walked the U of M campus and this video covered an amazing amount of information. Bravo!

Great video! Quick question! When speaking about U of M qualities that attract a person to that place because you can't find that atribute anywhere else, are you able to go into detail about how other colleges might have similar qualities but aren't to the level where U of M is, or should it stay strictly about Michigan and what you like about them?

Certainly! Of course, you don't want to mention other colleges by name, but if you wish to touch on how "Most programs have X, while Michigan has Y", that can set the stage for how you see Michigan as a different school, and thus, a better fit. Then, you can use the long word count provided to showcase why such resources will be most beneficial for you.

I have a quick question about the WIlson Center, do you have to be in the engineering school in order to join?
@YouRiseEducation2 жыл бұрын
Since LSA students at Michigan may take non-LSA coursework, such as offerings at the College of Engineering lsa.umich.edu/lsa/academics/lsa-academic-policies/credit-limits/non-lsa-course-work.html and as the Wilson Center hosts various organizations, some of which contain non-engineer students admissions.umich.edu/explore-visit/blog/working-real-world-inside-wilson-student-team-project-center I believe you can access the center, even without being an engineer major!

Do they have a strong alumni network?
@YouRiseEducation3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely; there are over half a million living alumni across all of Michigan's undergraduate and graduate programs. Students have many opportunities to network because of the university's extensive resources in graduate and professional programs, such as those in the Ross School of Business.

Would talking about the library and the campus in the "Why Michigan" essay be alright?
@YouRiseEducation2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely; you can cite any specific resources you find interesting at the library (such as labs or study centers), as well as the types of events you hope to participate in on campus.
