I guess some people simply don't understand. Online degrees are for professionals that are too bust to attend a traditional classroom setting. It does not degrade the quality of the degree obtained. In fact U of P has Regional Accreditation status which means it holds as much weight as all of the other major Universities.

Is money the only factor here? Is cheaper better? Is it more convenient? Having attended both UoP and traditional "brick and mortal" colleges, I found that UoP was superior in a number of ways. From having advisers and an entire embedded social media application to communicate and seek help and advice to have access to massive resources at all hours of night (including virtual customized virtual desktops) the experience far outstrips what was possible at a "traditional" school.

Most people think online degrees are a waste of money or not worth it because they think it is easy and they can get an easy degree. While in actuality, they have to work to get their degree like at any other college. There are TONS of people with a UoP degree that are very successful within their chosen career.. congrats to you all!!

Oh and btw, if they were not real, they would have been shut down a long time ago for being fraudulent.

...but choose to make baseless judgments and perpetuate a negative "hype." Whether you love it or hate it, I would respect your opinion if you had actually ever attended a class. As you have not, you are just another "person on the Internet" like the people who's posts you got YOUR information from in the first place. See the problem?

Right - man tries to discredit online resources by citing online resources. Nice one. As in all cases, especially considering the anonymity of the Internet, you must always consider the source and note that opinions vary. UoP is not for everyone, and in the conversations I've held with people who are vehemently opposed to it many are failed teachers or students who couldn't handle the workload or the pace. Other times it is people like you who have never attended a course
