University of Washington maintains Boeing ties despite pro-Palestinian campus protests

The University of Washington says it will not cut ties to Boeing, as a large encampment of pro-Palestinian protesters continues to envelop the Quad on campus.
On Monday, dozens of tents had spread out across the grassy area, popularized every spring by the Cherry Blossoms. But for the past week, people who identify with the "Liberation Zone" have popped up tents, and signs, calling for UW to end its connection to Israel and Boeing.
The tents, which started sprouting up last Monday, had more of a permanent feel to them, some fresh from a REI rack and with Costco-sized bundles of food and water. Multiple people told reporters to check in for clearance to shoot in the public space, and one man aggressively told a KOMO News crew that no one could shoot video of the protestors in the zone, in the public crossing, without permission.
Several buildings also were tagged with graffiti in support of Palestinians and Gaza.

Let me guess. None of these protesting kids will ever fly anywhere on a Boeing built aircraft in their entire life? I think these youngsters should take their protest to Washington DC. Not the University of Washington campus where it does no good for anyone. If they really wanted to make a powerful statement they should fly to Israel and protest there. I mean clearly they have all the time in the world to stand around and make noise in public. Do it where it counts.
