I am staying in the newly built East Park accommodation at the University of Exeter that opened up this academic year! So I thought it would be quite exciting to show you what the rooms and the kitchens are like. This may be one of the most awful room tour videos you will ever watch - we love to see it.

Omg I just firmed Exeter a couple of days ago and was dying to find a room tour of east park! Where did you get the mini foldable washing machine thing and where can I get one!? Loved the video and I binged all of your other ones too!!

I am so sorry I haven’t been on my account for a while, I am not sure if it’s of any useful information to you anymore but I actually got mine from China however, I know there are a lot of options on Amazon! Again so sorry 😅 congrats on firming Exeter!

Hi! I loved the video💕 I was just wondering if you have under bed storage and if you have seen any of the shared bathroom accommodations if they look the same as your en-suite one and if they’re attached to the room or a whole separate room if that makes sense? Thank you!! X

Yes we do have under bed storage. I haven’t personally seen any shared bathroom accommodations but I know that moberly is shared bathroom but only with one other person and they’re a separate room to your room. The rooms look exactly the same as mine but because it’s shared, they’re actually a little bit bigger! Hope this helps! :) x

I’m moving to east park at the weekend hopefully and I’m just wondering what you use to stick stuff to the wall? I have a bunch of fairy lights that I put up using pins in Birks but as east park doesn’t have pinboards idk what to use - I don’t wanna take off the paint since they’ll know it was me 😂

I’ve used two command hooks to hang the fairy lights on my wall! It was very inconvenient when I found out they didn’t have a pin board in these rooms but oh well what can you do😅

Yes there are. I’m not sure if there will be more next year when the new buildings are finished but there are currently only 6 washing machines for all the currently available blocks which can get quite annoying but it’s manageable :)

This accommodation is actually so beaut😭 I have an offer from Exeter for this year, if I end up firming I’m most definitely applying to this accom! I was wondering tho, on the website I think it said some construction would be taking place for the other new accommodations coming next year or sometime this year - have you found that to be an issue noise wise? I assume it doesn’t provide the best view unfortunately but I feel like I could somewhat deal with that😅

Aw congrats on your offer! And thanks for watching! I thought the construction would be finished by next year for east park? But maybe I was wrong, I just heard they were finishing it for 2021🤷‍♀️ but at first, the construction noise was very annoying all the time, you kind of get used to it as background noise after a while I think. Sometimes it’s still really annoying but it is what it is I guess😅 i would say if you’re really bad at studying in noisy places, it’s not the best idea but if you’re not too fussed, it’s somewhat manageable x

How compact are you in East Park? do you feel like there are so many buildins reaaly close to you all the time? Also are any of the blocks an eye sore as they're really tall? Do the windows open?

No I don’t feel that way at all. I live on the outer edge of east park so I have a pretty nice view other than the building work right outside 😅 none of the blocks are in really tall buildings but some are taller than others. The windows at east park are actually a lot better, it’s hard to explain them but if you watch the whole video, you’ll see how they work :)

Hi, I was just wondering what East park is like? Like how some buildings have reputations for parties, or being quiet and chill. Since the buildings new I can’t really find anything :)

I’d say east park is very quiet and chill but maybe that’s because there’s Covid plus the fact that there’s not that many people living here since the building work hasn’t finished yet. Maybe it’ll change next year but I’m not sure. Right now, I’d say it’s quiet and chill, the bigger building is a bit more party though

Omg I’m so sorry I never saw this comment! Sorry for such a late reply! But yes there is plenty of room under the bed for storage :) keeping a lot of boxes and my suitcase under there 😅

Is there a hoover, iron and mop provided in the flat? Was there any under bed storage?

Yeah they are all provided and a cleaner will mop and hoover the kitchen once a week too. There is actually plenty of under bed storage :)

it is undergrad accommodation! it was finished for this year so its brand new! it is really nice!😁

Do you know how similar the standard rooms in East Park are compared to this? Obviously they don't come with their own bathroom but I was wondering if everything else was the same? And do you know how many people you share a bathroom with? I can't find any photos of the standard east park rooms anywhere :(

I am pretty sure the standard rooms are relatively similar. To my knowledge they are actually a little bigger as there isn’t as many bathrooms

Hey which accommodation would you say is best for social while also being nice rooms?

I would say moberly is probably the nicest while also being the most social. The accommodation is exactly like east park but you share a bathroom with one other person. But it’s definitely more social than east park. I think east park is also slowly getting more social though so maybe next year it’ll be different. Hope this helps :))

You’re not supposed to put anything on the walls but I know quite a few people did. Idk if they got away with. Command hooks are fine because they don’t leave a mark :)

East park was my second choice. Rowancroft was my first choice as it is the closest the st Luke’s but it is also the only but unfortunately I was unable to get it. Sorry for the delayed reply

Hi! I’m not too sure what you mean by that but I assume you mean how is the uni managing? I would say that it’s been okay, there’s a lot less parties now than the start of the year I think and the in person sessions definitely feel very safe but if you want to know anything else let me know.

Hi I was just wondering how far is the accommodation from st Luke’s campus

East park is relatively far away from St. Luke’s, I think it’s about a 35 minute walk. There is a bus you can get about 5 minutes away from the accommodation though and that takes about 15 minutes to get there :)

@@powo9989 from east park, yes it is, it’s about a 5-7 minute walk away and then the bus stops at st Luke’s are literally opposite the campus :)

I just got that !! Going in September :) they are the exact same room (slightly bigger ) but you just don’t have the bathroom in it , there’s 5 bathrooms per flat . There’s 8-10 people in the shared bathroom flats
