Outstanding! Both play marvellously, and Mr Holland's solo in particular is just fantastic. He's one of the greats without doubt. Can't believe it's nearly 50 years since I saw him playing first with pianist Pat Smythe at London's Ronnie Scotts club.

Is that a desirable feature for you? I am a bassist and this is something that i wonder. Is D.H. pulling the pianist along, is that to be desired? Holland is an absolute master i know.

@@3340steve I believe it's desirable. Holland really gives the duo propulsion/ forward motion. Check him out with Kenny Barron, or in any of the many duo settings he has recorded in. In my opinion, he's a master of duo playing(and of any other format! )👍👍👍😎
