This has been driving me crazy is there no other info besides the archive? It sounds so similar to so many things that I keep getting distracted by it. It has to be like ‘69-‘71 maybe a little bit later but def no earlier than ‘68, it sounds like some local American band trying to sound like The Moody Blues and King Crimson at the same time. But it has that Byrds-y guitar playing. And the thing that’s driving me most crazy is that everything sounds super normal and lo-fi, but this mix has to be semi professional, the piano sounds so crisp, I feel like it has to be an audition tape of some sort, or like you said a test pressing. But god the second song sounds so similar I feel like I’ve heard something that sounds close enough to it for it to be related (not like how the first song sounds like Nights in White Satin, more like it sounds like a version of something else I’ve heard) but I just cannot put my finger on it. I feel like it’s somebody like Thorinshield, making almost a negative splash in the zeitgeist but still existing in the scene deep down there. May be worth looking at those types of compilations like Sing Me a Rainbow and Nuggets, maybe will find the vocalist or something else similar in style.

Both songs possibly from the 70s ? Or rather 70s sounding ?
@LostMusicColdCase10 ай бұрын
I'm almost certain they are from the '70s (first half, probably). The sound, the popularity of the genre, and the commonness of these kind of acetates/test pressings (which seem to me to be most common from the late '60s to mid '70s; at least from what I've encountered before)... From what I understood, these songs come from the same vinyl. The file names were "emididisc", which I assume is a misspelling of "Emidisc", which was a brand of blank acetate records (so that is why I'm assuming these aren't official releases, but test pressings). Could be wrong, of course.

You uploaded a song called "sorry" but deleted it, did you find it?

Possibly yes, I got some info just after I published the video. Sorry (no pun intended), I was hoping it won't already spam people's notifications... :/

@@silviocupica2521 I'm not sure, yet. I'm currently waiting for some reply, but if it turns out it isn't solved, I'll probably upload the song to my channel again. If it is solved, I'll let you know here.
