Hello, my brother. Armenians love Syria very much. The Syrians came from the Arameans. In old Armenian, Syria is called "Suriya", and "sur" in Armenian is a sword, that is, a country of swords. We are all Ar-s or Aryan, no matter what to call, but we are brothers at the genetic level. With love from Armenia

I grew up as Armenian in Lebanon and have been residing in the U.S. for the past 18 years. Before that lived in few other places in the world. Similar to other Armenians. Listening to this music 3 o’clock in the morning can only make me think of my parents, family, and fellow Armenians who have endured a lot. This is The type of music that transcends the soul. All I can say is that I am proud Armenian and will forever advocate the cause of my people irrespective of where I live.

Matthew Esraelo GOD bless the Church of the East and the Armenian and Assyrian People's. Armenia was the first kingdom to embrace Christianity. Assyrians have the true, oldest Gospel in Christianity, the Peshitta, given to them by the earliest disciples and in Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke in.

Just finished reading the book The Forty Days of Musa Dah by Frantz Werfel. GENOCIDE perpetrated by the Turks against the Armenian population is quite well known to us in Poland, but I still cannot recover from sadness after reading this . Armenians have been living in Poland for hundreds of years and are devoted and faithful citizens who gave their second homeland tremendous merits. Always loyal and faithful. Our Brothers In Faith. Living in Poland is not easy but do not be afraid to come and live with us if you want to move to Poland. You are welcome here.

Thats interesting, when i hear scottish, irish, english european music It feels familiar to me and i am Armenian. I suspect i am mixed because of the crusades+romans, also my hands look more like my German friends than other Armenians. My Armenian friend shared what the Duduk is to our public speaking class. I unfortunately didn’t get to hear her speech on the history of Armenia and its people. But after class she shared some history on the genocide and how she feels as an Armenian. She told me the events of the genocide (that I would have never known) and what the Armenians have suffered, and what they suffer today. While she spoke, I had this music softly playing on my earphones. I could see her emotion and passion while she spoke, but with the music, I could feel the sadness/anger she feels through the music. I can imagine that many other Armenians must share the same anger/sadness she feels. I don’t want to say this music is sad or full of pain, but it is the sound of the fight for survival. Yes, there are some notes that make my soul feel this deep sadness, but overall I see that there is a light between the music notes. Beautiful music, really. I’m so happy my friend was able to share this piece of her culture/history to my class and I. I’m also happy that this is something the Armenian people can share with the world. ❤️

@Özlem Hasançebi its typical for the government of a country who has commit such a crime try to hide it, Stalin did it by hiding and changing information in russian textbooks, the germans tried to do it but werent able to because of the amount of evidence was impossible to cover up, north Korea is hiding a lot of information from their peopler, chinese as well and turkish people have been doing it for a long time, you were raised in a country that lied to you as a child so as to cover what they did to armenians, there is plenty of proof on the internet, in books, photographs etc. You need to look for it before believing everything you're country wants you to believe. The numbers may not be 100% accurate that doesnt mean it didnt happen. It was a genocide and its shameful that the Turkish government wont admit it. You are nlw doing the same thing in Syria watch the news a little. The videos arent fake they are being massacred by turkish people just like Armenians were. At least now we have good cameras to record everything so that they cant pretend it didnt happen. I have nothing agaisnt people lf turkish descent, they cant be blamed for what ther great gandparents did so many years ago, but lying to the younger generations about their history is something that the world can and should hold agaisnt them.

Those gaps of light you see between the darkness of the melody, that is the eternal flame of the Armenian. Our instinct of survival. Our will to live against overwhelming odds and injustice. As you see in the comments, some people still deny the facts, deny us our right to exist, and even today we're withstanding an open attack by the same people who got away with genocide last century. We will live on and continue to fight injustice in whatever its form. But we need people like you to spread the word of what's happened (and what's happening now). Thank you for the kindness. It's not something we're used to, so it always comes as a beacon of light, aiming right into our soul.

I’ve been drawn to this instrument since I first heard it played on an old folk music record, as a young girl in California, in the 1980s. The ancient power of its mystical beauty has never left my soul. Over the years, my love for Armenian culture has only gotten stronger. Such a beautiful country, such beautiful people. Life eternal.

The sound of duduk is the pain our people couldnt express all the past milenias , all the invasions conquests we went trough, yet Armenia is still the only nation on the world that after nearly 3000 years still appears on the map as Armenia.
