Honestly, I shake the gun too. Can't explain why, but it DOES help the powder stick
@UnknownCoatings7 ай бұрын
haha yeah I think I know why it helps, the powder gets more time to cross over the electrode. Glad im not the only one!

That purple is beautiful! Is it Purple Metallic? PMB-4103? I'm a home coater and in your FB Group, which I've learned an absolute ton from! Did a set of 15x10 wheels in the Purple Metallic and love it! I love how without light it almost looks black, but as soon as the light hit the metal flakes it lights up purple! Great work as always!

Hey man I would love to see a video on brushing wheels start to finish.. I bought a forged set of wheels that were badly powder coated in Germany, paid a lot of ££££ to ship and import them into the UK only to find the spoke edges corroded/failed after 4 months. There's only 1 guy in the UK who offers brushing and he refuses to work on 1 piece/monoblock wheels, I feel like if I had a local shop strip mine I could maybe brush them myself and then let a professional re-clear them, I just worry about achieving the faces with a unified grain (being spun) and what tools could help do the spokes - at this point I'd even pay for the advice 😆

PP Lolipop Red with a Casper Clear actually looks great together. Idk if its because Lolipop Red is a transparent color or not but it has worked for me.

Maybe you can make a video showing us how much powder is the perfect amount. So you don't spray too light and you can see through it with a light, or spray too heavy younget orange peel. Maybe tell us how you know exactly the right build up amount. Or is it just from experience with trial and error.

That one would be tough just because each powder is a little different but i can work on something

@UnknownCoatings I'm about to hit some parts with the illusion smurf and silver sparkle like that frame you did, you mentioned in the video you would make a video about why you like to hit illusion colors with 2 coats. Could you elaborate on that, why 2 coats instead of one. I used golden ticket as well and that's an illusion, my issue is getting consistent color, I only did 1 coat. I notice on Faraday areas and edges it doesn't get enough powder, I'm worried about putting on too much powder and I end up using too little in spots, guess it's all a learning curve.

I hear ya on the clear matte and salmon issue . Luckily tiger has their rals available in matte , satin and gloss so not having to worry or explain to the customer that it will “ alter “ the colour makes things far easier

I also shake the gun too but only don't know why but just do, but never on flat surfaces 😂😂

I used to shake the gun now I keep it still and put all the faith in the gun if it don’t stick pull back just a tiny bit an let it fall in but with that being said I grew up shaking the gun so still find my self every now and then shaking it I do think I get better result when I hold still and let it fall in tho
