For the first element of Unlawful Act Manslaughter requires an Unlawful Criminal act not a tort such as e.g. battery, assault. Would GBH also go under 'unlawful criminal Act' for unlawful act manslaughter?

Hello. Couple of points of note. 1) Battery and Assault, while Torts, are also crimes and so can represent the constructive offence for unlawful act manslaughter. 2) Yes, GBH could also constitute the constructive offence.
