Best thing to do right now is get a Dell PC, you can find a i7 4790 with 16GB DDR3 and 2 TB HD for like $50USD, slap a 580RX for like another $50 and you got a decent emulation machine plus it can play old and modern PC games all for $100.

I got a silver j5005, it has 4 more execution units on the gpu. Its 10w same as this one, a pi is 5w but this one is almost 4x more powerful. It struggles really hard with GameCube but wipeout 64 looks and runs awesome, ps1 Tekken3 runs great, all NeoGeo runs flawless (metal slug). I however think batocera holds it back, I can't set scaling on batocera. I have a Pandora dx saga 3d as well.

I´m glad that there are now the Gamesticks/ Emulator- Consoles under 100 Dollars have now PSP, Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast- Roms. That´s like to have a PS3 with many Games. And there are many very good modern 3D- Videogames on PSP and everything. I think i´ll buy such a updated Gamestick, but i need a clear Menue where i can choose the Gametitles more like i want (i delete the most Titles), otherwise i don´t buy it and i stay by that older TV- Gamestick.

Honestly I just used my laptop for 90 of all my retro needs on my TV and my Android tablets run all my retro emulators systems perfectly fine a lot better than some of these dedicated retro handhelds coming out. A lot of them are using outdated cell phone parts and selling it like it's something new with a new shell on it and people are buying them up left and right and if they would just take a little time to set this up on their computer or your Android phone or tablet they would have a much better experience I mean I have a cheap little tablet that runs GameCube and 90 of its library with no problems. And expensive tablet really destroys all the games I throw at it with a Razer kishi type controller to make it a handheld is the best way anyways you get a bigger screen real buttons just make your own handhelds instead of me running out and buying a little retro handheld I go get a tablet that cost less with better specs and get a controller attachment for it and you just built yourself a way better handheld than anything you bye what do you think these Android handhelds are there just little tablets with controllers attached to the sides if Android tablet manufacturers would have always included some kind of controller attachment with Android tablets they would have sold a lot better . If every tablet manufacturer included some sort of controller attachment s*** there would be no need for retro handhelds you already have one .

I don't share your opinion. I came from the tablet/smartphone with Gamesir controller solution. But despite my Poco X3 pro has the stronger processor, my emulation 'career' really started when I bought an Odin lite. The difference is like night and day. And now, with the Odin 2 available - please show me the sd8gen2 tablet that is cheaper. If it exists I'll buy it. btw One important point, at least for me - most tablets do not have hdmi or usb-c video out. My handhelds have at least one of them, the Odin 2 even both, and they connect with all sorts of controllers easily.

There's games out there that have so much going on in the game and a cheap Android box runs them perfectly fine but a simple fighting game with a static backgroun and only two characters on screen is demanding and the system struggle to play them a lot of these demanding games I just wonder what so demanding about them there's not a lot going on on the screen.

They could be poorly optimized games, on real hardware you don't notice, or the emulator is still buggy/incomplete/unoptimized.
