We have the Jura Giga7X Professional and bought it without the milk cooler. My bad. So I’m shopping for it now. I read in the Jura manual/instructions that when using the milk features, the “assigned operator” has to rinse the milk system at the end of each day, then clean the system with cleaners weekly to keep it safe & sanitary. It’s a trade off. If you want the convenience of having the milk handy, you will have a different cleaning maintenance schedule. I’m very impressed how Jura has engineered these machines to do the majority of the cleaning & back flushing, all on its own and automatically! Our machine automatically runs scalding hot water through the system before & after each & every brew, so that no old coffee is clogging the tubes inside. And I read that it somehow automatically cleans its portafilter and its mechanisms inside that deliver the coffee products. This is wonderful in that we have only to do minimal daily cleanup and periodic cleaning & descaling to keep the machine in top order. And the machine keeps track of it and will remind up when it’s due! Our Giga X7 has a large reservoir & a large drain. Both are able to be easily plumbed into your system if you desire then there’s no more refilling and emptying anymore. That’s Nice! These units aren’t cheap. But they’re Swiss made and any repairs are a flat rate & includes the shipping cost. It’s thought provoking but can be less expensive in the long run if you plan it out right. Hey Stan…thanks for your thoughts. You are correct in there are some trade offs with cleaning but you are also correct about the machine largely having automatic cleaning mechanisms. Additionally they are expensive machines but if you use it every single day multiple times a day…it’s worth it in the long run. Thanks so much for watching I try to bring good content. Very nice video thank you. I’ll do some research regarding cleaning/rinsing. Though the milk in cooler stays cool and fresh… there is milk in the tube between cooler/machine that will go bad sooner than later making the tube useless unless thoroughly cleaned. I think the cooler is a brilliant idea. But I see it being used when entertaining as opposed to remaining on counter for single or double daily use. Simply because of the cleaning of the clear hose. A great video and beautiful machine and set up. Enjoy 🙏

No doubt you must still clean the milk tube. We clean it after each use using the machines milk cleaning function. All you gotta do is disconnect the milk tube from the cooler and connect to the cleaning bin and hit “go”.

I don’t know if you have a “Chef’s Store” in your area. It caters to restaurants & small businesses. They carry a LOT of espresso essentials like soy, oat or almond milk made especially for Baristas. They also have Torani syrups, all the plungers & gizmos any barista could want. It’s a good resource if you have it. I was shocked at supermarket prices & found this.

Never silly…I think cows milk is best in terms of foam consistency but I have used all types of milk including oat and almond milk. But again in my opinion whole (cows) milk works best

Buy it then! E8 only entry level! new Giga 10 does give z10 a run for its money! But the z10 with 1ltr cooler, glass warmer all white with jura late and espresso glasses look nice as a replacement. I have all with glasses 🤓 the cold coffee is awsome. Then you’ll be the big dog too 🎉
