Can’t wait for these in the new Chargers. Driven a bunch of the new rams and wagoneers both with the so and HO. And they are great engines. Very different than the Hemi but lots of potential. These engines are gonna hurt a lot of feelings.

Glad to finally see a modern small displacement engine from Dodge with a lot of HP. Has similar or more HP per cubic inch than the infamous Hemi Demon 170.

Now THAT's thinking with your dipstick, Jimmy! Um, sorry. I love that commercial. It looks like there's a boss on the side of the block that might allow for a dipstick provision. It might be something we'll have to look into. This was a modification customers had to do using a fixture we sold that allowed you to drill a hole in the boss on the dry sump LS7 engines when doing the wet sump conversion so you could gain that dipstick provision.

The guys at power nation took a 30+ year old ford 300 straight six out of a forklift modded it and slapped a turbo on it, and made 500 HP with 10# of boost…. Solid motor and a fraction of the cost. This thing is an over engineered POS

At 26psi making 550 hp seems to me that it’s not very efficient. Roughly a 200hp NA engine. It’s probably RPM limited to 6000 ish and at that boost level it’s gotta be approaching octane limited power…. The plus side e85 should make a ton of power with that boost and displacement

I'm wondering if it's actually seeing 26psi for that 550hp mark, or it's advertised as that being the "max" boost. I've yet to find anything showing what rpm the Cat3 makes that horsepower. I guess that will have to wait until after they finish validation with their non e.o. controller. Garretts of comparable size on a 2JZ are in the 600-700whp range at that boost level. Then there's the flow limitation of the tiny GDI Injectors. We've got our work cut out for ourselves, that's for certain.

Oh I can guarantee there is room to grow just based off the displacement alone and 26psi isn't bad at all I mean hell my little 1.6 turbo is pushing 20psi and tuned pushing 25psi all new turbo motors are choked do to epa regulations so plenty of tuning capabilities

To answer your question, not likely considering I don’t have a project that this would currently be appropriate for at this time. But if I wanted to build up a project TJ or something similar I think this would be a fitting different twist on an inline 6.

This engine is trash I could build a vortec4200 slap an Amazon turbo on it and not have anywhere near the problems this engine has
