Oh snap! How did I miss my Willy notifications!!! I like the box style k&n over the doofy open cone filters. Are they still making stuff with MAF sensors these days? I remember my buddy souped up his 89 FireChicken with a 3.1 and whatever he did to that sensor and the computer it made a noticeable difference.

I know there used to be a trick with the MAF sensors with a resistor or something but that I believe was for OBD 1 systems.

Sweet install!. Using the K n N on our Xterra. Nice improvement and found a difference in coming up the grade from the desert floor to Jacumba. Curious to see your observations. 😎

That truck belongs to a friend but I did get to drive it and it performs very well being a 2.5 4 cylinder with 33” tires.

Just found your channel dude recently ! love it man and your vids seem easy to follow. Just got the 4 cyl frontier recently. Need to buy the knn filter and want to install throttle body spacer to try and get a little more response from this motor! Is there a throttle body spacer for the 4 cyl? Have only really seen for 6cyl

Hello Mike, Glad you finally found my channel. I was getting tired of waiting for you too get here..😂 so now that your here check out all my Frontier content or maybe you want a minibike? Well I got you covered.. But seriously Mike glad you here. Airaids website does say the have a throttle body space for the 2.5 but I would get with them to be sure. Unfortunately it says not for use in Cali… I would also recommend the Pedal Commander. I have a video on that and their PC79 will work with the 2.5. The KnN is the best intake option I have found due to the large intake plenum on that engine. I read of people building cold air intakes for the 2.5 from Sentra parts but haven’t seen it. Thanks for checking out my videos and get out there and enjoy that truck. What about suspension???

Thanks Willy dude for the reply and advise! 😂🤙🔥 I’m in FL so not as much restrictive as cali. I’m thinking the rough country 2.5 lift for cost and ease for me! This truck definitely needs a lift from stock!

So to be 100% clear, there is no after market air intake tubes for our truck?

Hello Cameron May, Front my research I did not find any cold air intake for the 2.5 Nissan engine. I guessing it’s due to the filter housing being part of the intake plenum. I did see after a great amount of searching that some was able to assemble some from Sentra parts but I was not able to verify that. The drop in filter was the best option. Thanks for watching!!
