I had this game when I was younger and I legit couldn't figure it out. Last time I saw it was in my senior year of high school, though I probably had it for a year after that and my mom probably got rid of it. She was pretty famous for getting rid of things that didn't belong to her because she saw it as clutter. That's how my Yu-Gi-Oh Dungeon Dice monsters starter set mysteriously vanished.

It's like the scouts are competing to see who can destroy the most enemies but they have to have some pvp element

@@ranman800 years ago I did a version that was not as good. :D but you didn't mention combined attacks, the errata with Sailor Pluto, and the possible problems with what you do if there is no deck or discard pile but you play Cram School, the rules do not say what happens, does your discard become the deck? That can lead to infinite loops! So, I homebrewed a rule that you can't draw if you have no deck, and that its only when you "balance" that you will gain cards again... also also the locations! And.. the basic game was pointless. I'm sad it never got a third expansion and the second set was way to small and needed more cards. Also, also if you get the "knight" deck - you would have 3 to use for said combined attacks.

I played this game and ran tournaments for it while it was new. The sack your own stuff rule was done to make sure your opponent played monster and villian cards to advane the game. While flawed it was needed for the game to work. However it was very very exploitable since there were a lot of cards that could remove monsters from the board with cards in the booster packs. Set 2 tried to address this with cards that provided protection from those effects but the game had a card that got around the protection cards. The game itself though is quirky because it was built on the Big eyes small mouth RPG's Sailor moon rpg suppliment. I can understand not liking it but it was a product of it's time. It was also flawed since it was created by an rpg company and printed by a very small trading card company. For myself I have great memories of the game and do wish it had survived longer then 2 sets.

@@audrisampson Thanks for checking out my vid and commenting! That's really cool u ran tournaments for this game! Wish I could have experienced this game in a tournament setting. I don't dislike the game as much as it might have seemed in the vid. Tbh I had fun trying it out with my buddy. I just love looking into old card games. 💯🕊️
