its so weird because i dont play doomfist but i watch both quake and zbra, and its like the gameplay difference is crazy and maybe its because zbra play in a lot of tournaments so hes more trying to play "correct" most of the time but quakes gameplay is alot more faster and what mean is quake uses like every doom mechanic imaginable to get the picks on squishys that he wants but zbras gameplay is more like playing corners and playing safe like a traditional tank and only going for squishys when nessecary

Jump right before you hit a higher platform while punching

you need the right geometry where the horizontal momentum of the slam gets bounced upwards and becomes vertical, which you then immediately cancel into punch chargel. i think its the same geometry where you can do a punch bounce on, but not experienced enough to tell you for sure

Right okay I’ve been a df main for like 5 years now But can someone please explain what the fuck happened in that first clip, did he cancel slam with punch and that gave him the momentum for the bounce and then jump while charging to carry the momentum or am I overthinking it? it's not a bounce, it's a diag. Look at the clip and you'll see he goes back so that the ledge acts as an object to diag from. You can do this on any ledge. In practice range, you can fall off the map and punch immediately for it to act as a ledge and diag from it.
