Great presentation. One of the better ones I've seen here. I love the nuts and bolts history of the Continental Army. There was much more to it than only guns and fighting.

I grew up in Chatham, NJ. The story I once heard was during the 1781 campaign culminating in Yorktown, was that large ovens were placed along the Passaic River to confuse the British as to the destination of the army….

This is great. it is said that an army marches on its stomach (Napoleon?) and this story is seldom told. My father cooked for a front line regiment in the European Theatre of WWll. He talked little of this time except for trading wheat for wine in France and Italy.

I have been to grave of Christopher Ludwick. He is buried in Germantown, PA.
