Another great, clear video providing good information :) Just to add a little extra maths - I did a bit of testing on the Library of Esoteric Artifacts a while back - putting 1000 fragments into it, resulted in 23-48 copies of each recipe. This suggests that variance remains the biggest factor, even at a very large sample size, and that there is around 2 to 5% chance of getting the recipe you want with any individual fragment traded. It's also worth noting that within each subset of 200 fragments traded, there was potential to still miss a recipe entirely. I still trade fragments for recipes, because there's fun stuff to get, but it's good to understand how low the chances are of getting one specific recipe you're after.

That's interesting. I remember we did something similar, the randomness can really be frustrating and we got some recipes only after trading in hundreds sometimes. We didn't go into more detail in this video, as it's not really about the library, but should we do another Fragments of Power video in future, it would be interesting to include some examples.

Super useful. I didn't actually max out my total ammount of knowledge points yet, but since infamous Yellow Lotus potion is still spreading loss of recipies when used maybe it's better to grind them fragments of power. I finally know how to craft that tablet of power. Long time ago one player told me about it but I never knew how to craft it.

Gaining more Knowledge Points by consuming Fragments or Tablets is definitely the safer option, and it's nice to "collect them all" so to speak. 🙂 Glad the guide has been helpful and best of luck with getting those extra points!

Wait what? Is the yellow lotus potion bugged? Can you lose access to recipes that you find I. The world? I assume that the bug wouldn't impact the default recipes.

@@kalisthenes6650 There's a slim chance that you will loose learned [learned in the world, not bought by points] recipes once you used Yellow Lotus potion.

The cost of a tablet of power depends on the server settings for crafting cost if a server is boosted it would be as cheap as 1 fragment of power to craft one tablet of power

Great video! Does the Potion of Natural Learning make you also forget your sorcery spells and unlocks through upgrading your tome or are those not affected?

They shouldn't be affected. I believe that's because you do the upgrade process and not just spend points like for other Knowledge. There have however been issues in the past where people lost upgrades etc., but I believe that was related to bugs around the Yellow Lotus Potion (which doesn't reset Knowledge anymore since Age of War, so that's hopefully resolved).

Excellent video. Do you have a video covering where most relic chests spawn? Are they only on the unnamed city? I came across some small language chests while farming named thralls from Pagoda of Boundless Lusts (Jungle SE corner) It looks like there are two relic chests? * relic fragment chest * Scroll of Language chest *Edit:* Clarified 2nd relic chest with info. from pixelcave.

Thank you! Yeah, it can be a bit confusing as Funcom reused the chest design from the Fragments of Power when they introduced "languages" to the game (when Siptah released). The chest with the languages contain language dictionaries - we made a dedicated video which explains more, as well as one with all language locations if of interest (just search for "language" on our channel). Regarding the Fragments of Power in the Exiled Lands, most can be indeed found in The Unnamed City, in Relic Chests and from boss drops. The Wine Cellar Dungeon has a few chests as well, and bosses, as well as a very few other bosses in the world. Np! I actually forgot one more thing... they also started to use this particular chest design for chests found in the Wine Cellar dungeon that contain Khari Steel. It's actually even worse there, as there are also a handful of them containing Fragments, but most have Khari Steel - a nightmare to differentiate. Sorry to add more to the confusion 😁

This would be a window from a mod, not available in the base game. I'd need to further look into which mod if interested. The closest "non-mod" item you can get in the style of this window might be the Market Window from the Sandstone Set extension in the Bazaar (currently not in the rotation).

Yeah for some strange if say you use Admin cheats for some reason you can one more level for only 12 knowledge points. With that along with one more level for any attributes. I guess there was meant to be a way to get one more level but the devs forgot to add it in?
