আমি বেশ কয়েকটা ইউটিউব ভিডিও দেখে নিমন্ত্রণ হোটেলে খেতে গিয়েছিলাম। তরকারীগুলো বীভৎস ঝাল। ছোট একটা বাটিতে পুঁইশাকের ঘ্যাঁটের মধ্যে তিনটে গোটা শুকনোলঙ্কা উদ্ধার করেছিলাম। ভাত মিনিকিট চালের। ডালে ডাল কম, জল বেশি। একমাত্র আমের চাটনীটা দুবার চেয়ে খেয়েছিলাম। খুব দরকার ছিল। আমার অভিজ্ঞতায় কাছেই সন্ধ্যা হোটেলের খাবারের মান ও স্বাদ অনেক ভালো। যদিও সব্জী মিলের দাম ১৫০ টাকা। আমি পেয়েছিলাম বাসমতী চালের ভাত, ভাজা মুগ ডাল, ঝুরি আলুভাজা, বেগুনী, সালাদ, লেবু, কাঁচালঙ্কা, আলু পটলের রসা, আলু পোস্ত, মটর পনীর, কাজু দেওয়া আমের চাটনী, পাঁপড় আর টক দই। পনীর ছাড়া সব পদ যত খুশি পাওয়া যায়।
