Sabse accha laga ki onion garlic ka naam-o-nishaan kahi bhi nahi tha... awesome. amazing. finally koi mila jo accha khana banata hai! 😀 Super delighted to find these people. Bhawanipur mein Lakshmi Narayan mandir ka canteen bhi practically same to same hisab kitab and environment hai. Bass cost is far lesser (almost half) and vaha toh everything is first offered as bhoga to Lakshmi Narayan and then served as prasad. That is their trump card.

1 no gujrati Dhabe, When i was living in rup chand roy street . I frequently visit this place . On Sunday when we take 1 dibba parcel, surprisingly it will fill lunch for 3 with only extra 3 pc chapati. Its best bassa ever had missed now a days.😢

Its seems to be very hygienic.. and the quality of food looks great.. if it's price around to 150 it's a best deal.. but for cleanness and the fact of hygiene 190 is good for a heavy eater. But the hotel is good and clean , this is the main reason... for safety purpose I also recommend my friends and family members to visit this place ❤

I remember in 1960 to be getting thali meal from Marwari Basa of Bangur Building, Mahatma Gandhi Road @ 0.75 paise per thali and quality was such that sometimes I used to avoid home food and get from there ! On top floor of the building, there were many Dhabas at that time ! Don’t know how many such Dhabas are still functioning !

He is preparing everything in charcoal and that's painstaking and for this 190rs is worth it ...also looks clean and serves with a lot of thought process.. I would give 50rs for the preparation on coal and the cleanliness..for 140 rs with so much of staff it's worth it

Although I am a bengalee, however, I reside in Kutch, and I am actually fond of Gujarati food, especially sabji with Rotla, the best thing about Gujarati food is unlimited thing, and the way they penalise people who take food on their plate just because of unlimited scheme, but end up wasting food. In kutch this plate costs us 120/-.

Went to Imphal in Manipur nearly 30 years back as part of a government team and were state guests ! Stayed at government owned hotel ! Manipur sunset was 5 PM ! Was very disappointed for the food served ! Was told that there is a Marwari basa in Thangal Bazar ! Went with full team of about 15 people and enjoyed fantastic dinner !

I am Marwari and wherever I used to go for business travel, even if I used to stay at 5 star hotel, always preferred to eat at Marwari Basas wherever they were ! Remember eating at Patna at Marwari Awas Griha !

Hmm...I agree with some of the comments. Kolkata me 190/- ka thali seems high. I remember going to a Marwari basa on either CR Road or MG Road in Kolkata about 30 years ago (!!) - and the food was very simple, very tasty, very cheap(vegetarian )😊...not sure if the Marwari basas still exist in Kolkata .

Went to Kashmir in 1969 and at most of the places were forced to eat at Muslim owned hotels ! Went to Pahalgam and on main road there got a Gujarati restaurant and had meals there un hesitantly !
