Cool deck list, the clues to just simply make a ''Aristrocratic'' artifact deck are already in precon since I noticed in my battles against my buddies Mothman precon that the milling was actually helping to get to a blow out turn with Wake the Past. I am going to try this deck out before Modern Horizons 3 puts out the over powered energy cards. Funny thing though is that Aethersquall Ancient isn't bad in this deck since it is just another way to get your ETB's with a ''boardwipe'' and cloning two of them for a quick 6 energy a turn is great (LOL back in Kaladesh standard I was able to generate 8 energy a turn, draw cards each turn cycle to the chagrin of my opponents with a Simic energy deck), theme wise it brings up the discussion of the Kaladesh Sky Whaling industry for it's energetic oils but otherwise ironically the bulk of the Kaladesh energy cards do not work here maybe if it was in Bant... ;P
@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
I could definitely see aethersqual ancient being fine allowing you to generate a bunch of energy from replaying all your artifacts again but I really don't like the fact it sends all our mana rocks back to hand too. I think you are right that if this deck contained green either temur or bant it would be a lot better because then you'd have access to land ramp that would make rebuilding after the whale much easier. If it was an artifact itself and i could reanimate it with Dr. Li then it would prob have earned a slot, with the list in its current state though I just felt it was too clunky. I'm sure you could make it work and it'd be fine just not ideal for how I wanted the list to play.

Cool list. Am wondering what some budget options for some more of the expensive cards would be? (Really mainly Esper Sentinel and Urza's Saga. The rest I can figure out budget options for) Also, did you ever consider Organic Extinction? Our opponents may have a few artifact creatures, but our board would be far more resilient to it. And with Encroaching Mycosynth on our board it becomes extremely one-sided.
@OnlyLands-MTG7 ай бұрын
I think you could put in any budget piece of card draw for esper sentinel he doesnt really have any inherent synergy here other than being an artifact. Thirst for knowledge would probably be my choice. Urza's saga doesnt really have a budget alternative just play a different land maybe something with some utility like a buried ruin but that card is unique in what it provides a deck. Organic Extinction is awesome I personally just feel like its too expensive even with improvise it hasnt felt good for me in my lists. If you have a slower meta it could definitely be a good option though, one sided or lopsided wipes are very powerful.

I run an artifact reanimator shell with a lot of artifacts that have etbs/ltbs and things like Ichor Wellspring. Very fun. I would run the Aether Refinery over something like laezel, as while laezel is nice, you typically get plenty off of aether refinery to supply any madison li cost. Don't forget Madison Li can reanimate on end step!

@LoxeBi yeah I made this video before MH3 came out there are definitely a lot of upgrades for this deck now. Maybe I'll do an update soon 👀

@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
You probably wouldn't need to change too much from this list to make it a good liberty prime deck! Probably add some more voltron stuff and protection and it would be solid! I probably won't do a whole deck tech on liberty prime since these decks would be very similar :/

My cards have just been ordered and are on the way. I am building this exact deck. The most difficult card to get hold of was Drumbellower. That one is winging its way all the way from Australia to little old England

Damn quite the journey for that little card. Hope the deck performs well for you!!!
@richardharrison47628 ай бұрын
@@OnlyLands-MTG *shakes fist* it had better! lol. I trust your judgment. What sold me was the fact that you didn’t do just a precon upgrade but built the best deck you could. I have a manna crypt which HAS to go on the deck. I am also toying with swapping out the counter spell for a card that I have on my collection - Chimil, the Inner Sun or maybe Helm of the Host. On the other hand, if they were worth adding they would already be in the deck list? Thoughts? (I don’t want to look at my bank account but it’s about £200 including the precon - I only had a few manna rocks but I have promised myself to splurge on a artefact deck one day and the fact it has energy?!)
@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
@richardharrison4762 haha don't worry I'm sure the deck will perform very smoothly for you! Both of those artifacts seem like great additions and remember you can always edit a list if you find a card underperforms.
@richardharrison47628 ай бұрын
@@OnlyLands-MTG while I have you. You mentioned about searching out key pieces to put into the yard to get back? Just so I fully understand, which are the most important cards and what order would you get them? (Guess the unwinding clock is up there?) oh and new subscriber obviously lol
@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
@richardharrison4762 so I was talking about with goblin engineer. The first card I like to find is cursed mirror. As long as you have another artifact in play to sacrifice to the engineer you can then bring cursed mirror back as a copy of goblin engineer and this will let you find another artifact. Then you can keep flipping the other thing you find with cursed mirror to repeatedly tutor (each turn) to find all your key pieces. The 2nd card I usually like to grab is brass's tunnel grinder since looping that in and out of the gy is gonna give you tons of value. Eventually you'd want to set up a situation where you get encroaching mycosynth and unwinding clock in play because those will let you continue to generate this insane amount of value of each players turn. If you manage to get all that going on im sure you'll have no trouble just drowning your opponents in value!
@dcluvspie57778 ай бұрын
Mycosynth lattice would be insane in this deck basically make everything in your graveyard reanimatable. Aside from that what about isochron d reversal combo?
@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
Encroaching Mycosynth does this too and is only 4 mana, also it doesn't turn our lands into artifacts so we aren't as weak to Vandalblast or something. Mycosynth lattice also has a reputation of doing really degenerate stuff so I usually only include it if I plan to do that degenerate stuff haha. Dramatic Isochron would definitely be a powerful add I don't really like to include random 2 card combos in my casual list but it definitely has synergy with this list so if that's how you like to play go for it!

I really do think you're underestimating the power of All Will be One here. A whole bunch of things coming into play at the same time, getting you energy, is gonna keep triggering the enchantment over and over again. Also, side note, I know its super niche, but I'm gonna run the Mystic Sanctuary loop in mine.
@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
Not gonna lie I didn't realize All Will Be One worked for putting counters on players haha that definitely seems like a super powerful damage engine!

@OnlyLands-MTG8 ай бұрын
Nope didn't brick much artifact decks are usually pretty consistent as long as you can maintain card advantage and having an engine in the command zone makes the deck quite consistent!

hey great list i think i would replace cyberman squadron with meteor golem and contagion engine with portal to phyrexia and maybe put in a lil bit more interation. otherwise i love it.
@OnlyLands-MTG7 ай бұрын
Yeah portal to phyrexia is definitely a great upgrade prob should have made the list but I just didn't really think about it.
