Hey Serg.... On your tire purchases today... If you go "off shore" I recommend either Hercules or Aeolus. I run 255/70R22.5 moving 140,000 gross and the tires wear reasonably well.

Well glad to see all went well for the most part except the surprise at the port with moving the excavator around, nice of the port guy to give you that tip, that may come in handy down the road. Out of curiosity Sergei since you have to unload and load at times the machines when you have case like this where a machine has issues due to wear and tear and old age, do you stick a clause or something in your agreement with the broker /shipper that if anything untoward happens when loading or unloading like mechanical issues that you are not responsible? I know you have insurance for things that may happen but with a situation like this I just wonder if you have something in thee agreement covering your butt so to speak, even though I dont see how this could be on you cause clearly this machine has wear and tear. Well hope you have a safe trip and find some lads in btwn time while the jeep booster are getting fixed up.

When you get the deck extension, will you trailer capacity still be 60t in 12’?
@HHTV604 жыл бұрын
Good question. According to Fontaine, when you add a deck insert, your capacity stays the same (120,000 LB) but you have to add 50% of the deck insert's length to your concentrated length in feet. Eg. regular rating is 120K in 12 ft. You add a 5 ft deck insert. 50% of that is 2.5 ft. Result: your rating becomes 120K in 14.5 ft. Example 2: You add a 10 ft deck insert. Rating becomes 120K in 12+5 or 120K in 17 ft (50% of 10 is 5 ft). A similar effect is produced when you add another axle to the trailer to make a 3+2 configuration. Fontaine says I can do it but the rating drops to 120K in ... 16 ft. For comparison, when I spec'ed a brand new 65 ton trailer, I was able to get (on paper) a better rating of 130,000 LB in 12 ft with a 28 ft deck. But the trailer was about 6,000 LB heavier than my 60 ton.
@nickwells1504 жыл бұрын
So basically it goes back close to the original rating when you bought the trailer? 60t in 16’ if I remember correctly

Sergei I remember the last time and the time before that you shut off comments and the only ones it hurt were your subscribers that supported you. If you or and one else figures it out the 1 percent is just 1 percent less than 2 percent milk. The problem is even that one person spoils just like 2 percent milk does but that shouldn’t mean all of us should taste the spoiled milk. My wife and I have supported you sense your yellow truck on our 3 accounts as we are husband and wife OTR drivers. We had a KZbin channel about 7 years ago and quit it because of so many negative comments but soon learned we should have just taken time and blocked them. People go from channel to channel being assholes to ruin things for the people that support channels. They have nothing else to do and many of them are children on their parents keyboards. Please consider your true supporters the ones that really enjoy not only your trucking but find you very interesting and respect you for more than I can say. Thanks from my wife and I , Cheers

Colonel Could you recommend a Canadian Broker for Onelonlyfarmer he has been looking at a 6 row new Holland corn head he needs moved to New Jersey. You could probably load it up over your Jeep and just make extra money on a load coming into the USA, lol. I know to much of a additional headache with the broker and paperwork.
