This is a common operation ALL over the world. I live on the west coast of Florida. All along our coastline, beach renourishment is an ongoing process. Sand and water are pumped from 1 mi out from the Gulf of Mexico I'm to the shoreline. The water drains back. And now the sand remains. Simple and efficient. If you are unaware of this process, you might think of it as a genius idea. It's just plain simple common sense using water as a vehicle to transport sand.

It's where they are keeping the shipping channel dredged for the other ships.

it may be "genius" in south asia, but it's VERY common method in south-east asian regions like vietnam

impressive the barge doesn't sink under the load Makes perfect sense "Genius?" used water to get the sand in and using water to get the sand out

You must lead a sheltered life... as this is used all over the UK for rebuilding the heights of beaches to combat erosion

It is not Bangladesh, it's godavari river near rajamahendravarm. You can iconic railway bridges in the background.

@@rajbabupakala7424 But removal of sand from river destroys ecosystem. And Sand mafia is very active in AP.

Those transmissions (flexible joints) of various (crank/drive)shafts are genius, (3:17 and 7:25) never seen it before, and quite some eccentricity to overcome… What material is used, some sort of rubber strips from car tire?

Good method for sand used in FILL operations, but zero use for sand used in construction concrete. Salt water!

They use the sand as grit to mix with automobile blinker fluid. they also mold it together to make shoreline which you can buy in 50 foot increments at the hardware store.
