well, yes i guess it does work to mod your 1000 model vita but lets be honest, a 4gb card would save you so much trouble and you can even store all ur stock files there and put everything else on ur sd2vita. regardless is good to know that u have the option, greetings from honduras

There's not much of a reason to use the Memory Card or an Internal one once you have SD2Vita set up, especially with the prices of Memory Cards out there.

the vita memory cards are made from trash, they die completely at random so they're extremely unreliable, that's why you would want to ditch them forever.

It wouldn't just be good practice to format the memory card, it's required. I skimped out on that step the first time and it just plain didn't unlock the 1GB. Worked like a charm once I stopped being dumb about following a guide though. Saved a bunch of money after the used Vita came without a memory card. Cheers!

a question. Can I not set both ux0 & uma0 both as SD2Vita? will it have problem and unable to "mimic" or something? my guess is that it shouldn't. Also, TF-Card-Plugin-Tool seems to do all the work ... so may I know whats the difference? Is this current video one developed by western one? Also, won't it be better to have both the save data saving and game stored on a single sd card / sd2vita? is there a situation that the extra internal storage be useful once I achieve this? I can't think of 1 at this current moment.

If you don't care about the welcome park tutorial app and vita intro video, well you can get a maximum of 2.4gb internal storage. I did this on the vita 2k and reset it to stock after uninstalling hencore and enso. Somebody with no knowledge of the vita brought a 2k with 2gb of internal storage from a pawn shop and prolly thought "oh that's weird.... And the welcome app is missing... Is this console bootleg or special?"

There is an error (C2-12828-1) when i try to format target storage for my 64gb sd2vita. Which means there is no umaO folder. Seems like a lot of ppl have this problem, but i can’t find a solution for this :(

I was wondering, what would be the steps going from the 3.74 guide to YAMT? after going thru the processes in guide would you still go back to IMC unlock and go to 1xxx? or would you just leave it?

You only need to revert this change if you ever want to downgrade to a really low firmware, as specified in the video.

I did this internal storage hack and is works really well! I also am using the Sd to Vita adapter which also is an amazing hack. I just have a question regarding the reversal of the internal storage hack. I just got an 8 gb stock Sony card I. The mail and would like to utilize that card along side with the sd card adapter. If I was to preform that reversal procedure, will I still have the sd card adapter function the way it was prior to the reversal? Or do I need to do a few more steps in between them?

I tried this one a few years back, works fine and got like 3 gigabytes of storage space for classic retro emulators, but I warn you, do not downgrade the vita to 3.60 firmware after creating the internal storage with imcunlock, the system will become unstable, the internal storage will unformat and will have to be reformatted and it will keep happening, in my case I used the permanent hack for the 3.60 firmware, to fix that I ended up using an original memory card to remove the permanent hack, then upgrade to 3.65 firmware and later remove the memory, reformat the internal memory that imcunlock made and later make the permanent hack for 3.65 firmware, the issue of unformatting memory never happened again.

You need some kind of storage since you need apps installed.

To confirm. to revert the modification after hacking the vita with the 1gb internal memory card, Should I have an official memory card plugged in? What if I dont have one of those, then is it safe to delete internal memory card, without an official sony memory card plugged in? (after setting up sd2vita, etc). Thanks for the video! I don't plan to downgrade, but I want to be as safe as possible with this. who knows, maybe the one I ordered (oled) will come with one, since its used (from a shop, not much details on listing). The official recommendation is to revert back to the standard setup if you have an official memory card, which makes sense in case something happens with your SD2Vita setup, so you have a backup storage of some kind on hand.

kinda useless if you have a memory card but still really cool only use i can see it having is if you dont have/want enso and your memory card dies you dont have to go out and by another you just gotta re jailbreak like you would if you had a 2000 model w3hich is the same way soo its cool for that i suppose i can also see it as a good backup for stuff like save data for if you do have enso and use sd2vita just incase sd dies and you dont have a memory card with a backup ooff all your saves.
