@@MultiMam12345 Where do I say that I like people out of business? My own speciality unrelated to photograph is threatened and I don't have a plan, and I worry about my children's future too. But the fact is that AI is rapidly changing the landscape of literally all industries - from software development to painting, music composition and photography. Photography, when it was invented, disrupted and eliminated entire crafts of portrait painting - where you needed an artist to have you portrait, now you asked a photographer. Portrait survived as a genre but the number of people actually making money out of it was drastically reduced. Now AI is doing the same literally to all possible professions. Then there was digital photography and an explosion in the number of photographs. You no longer need to think of 32 shots in a film, you can take thousands of raw shots and then choose the best. Cost to enter dropped dramatically too - now powerful smartphones produce wonderful pictures. When I am making a video for a youtube channel, before I had to endlessly search stock photos b-roll clips, now I ask Midjourney very precisely and specifically what I want, and I get it in mere minutes. All the stock photographers must feel the reduced need in their services. Of course there will be photographers who make money - from professional surfers photography to event photography (you still need an actual person to be there at your wedding) and more. But many guys who make some cash on stock will be impacted. Also with the ever increasing quality of ever cheaper digital cameras IA will never run out of source materials to improve their models. I think that photographers should better learn how to use Midjourney and photoshop to make something unique - people already do that - they get unique very specific backgrounds and scenes generated in Midjourney, and combine with their own photographs.

I’m a photographer and this actually opened so many possibilities. I’ve been doing photos with Midjourney for only 6 days (16h a day though). I can’t stop creating and learning more. It actually gives me all the possibilities just without dealing with people, organizing shoots and so much more. Photography knowledge is a big plus in AI world. At least for now.
