@Brittany Mia I have gone through your vids so much... today just finding inspo (and patience) as I grow out from big chop (3 months now). Your hair grew a LOT in the first year. It would be cool to see you do a vid sharing what you've learned about your hair/products, etc, since you big chopped. Thx for sharing your journey. It's super helpful and encouraging as the days sometimes drag by. LOL.

Beautiful 😊 I need to shake my hair harder because that shake is transformative 😂Also I'm not an expert but a stylist told me I didn't really need to deep condition every wash day unless I was addressing a specific issue such as heat/color damage. So I stopped and my hair has still been great. I just let the conditioner sit for a few mins sometimes still under a cap as I shower my body. I just don't like getting in and out of the shower lol. So you may not need to unless you just enjoy the ritual, or you can ask your stylist. Great vid tho!

The shake makes the set fa me! I’m also not an expert, but I know that stylist is correct. Right now I have an abundance of deep conditioner that I’m trying to use up, and eventually only keep a few staples in my arsenal. Getting in and out of the shower is what causes me to go to sleep in deep conditioner LOL it’s so inconvenient. I may keep it as a weekly thing or biweekly thing because I’m just so emotionally attached to that deep conditioner ritual. The beginning of May I see a curl specialist and I’m sure I’ll switch things up after that encounter. Thanks for the comment 😊

Such a nice set! You have beautiful tight curls! I'm not going to lie I wasn't sure how the cream would affect the set but it came out so well!
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Soon I’m going to switch up my styling products just to see about using a more water-based leave in and how that will turn out. I feel like the cream may be too heavy as my hair grows. We’ll see!

@@BrittanyMia I hear ya. I tried a cream for a bit in my hydration journey and I personally found that it caused a lot of build-up over time/dryness. I was able to effectively clean it off but it resulted in me having to use a stronger shampoo every wash. Since I wash every 4 to 5 days I found it to be drying to have to strip my hair so often.

@@PreppyFay12 interesting! So how do you do you wash and goes now? Also did your new method help in keeping your hair hydrated?
@PreppyFay122 жыл бұрын
@@Simply_Uche I in no way have arrived just want to say that and currently I’m in a twist and curl kick but when I do a wash n go set I try to use the combos my stylists have recommended to me. At one time it could be a base gel, UFD Curly Magic mostly likely, and then a mousse or another stronger hold gel on top depending on the situation (humidity, how long I need it to last, the look I’m going for, etc). I avoid heavy ingredients and oily products as I already produce a lot of oil on my scalp and oily greasy hair just attracts more dirt and build up as well. And tend to reach for my all purpose most often as a first cleanse.

Heyy, love your hair videos!!! They have inspired me to big chop again lol How often do you do protein mask vs moisture focused? I am low porosity and I am just trying to figure out if I should you a mask that contains both or not.
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you so much! I actually haven’t done a protein treatment yet. I haven’t really needed to, but I will most likely do a bond builder soon and continue every 3 to 4 months just to balance the moisture.

Therapeutic vid! Is the UFD line your favorite? & You have any socials?
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
I do loooove UFD. Mainly Supercurl and Curly Magic stylers. I’ve gotten consistent results with those two products. I have socials but I’m working on being more active on those platforms. My IG is @brittanymiaaa
