Great video Ev! The fact that Tana use nodes (instead of notes) make it even better to target the part you want to chat with. You can also add different nodes in the prompt by "summoning" them using @{{node A}}, @{{node B}}, etc.

Thanks for another great video on Tana, Ev. I'd been waiting to see a clear, straightforward and practical explanation of using AI chat in Tana, and you've delivered. I did have one question about whether, if you summon a node in the AI chat window with @Example-Node, the AI will review the children (and grandchildren) of that node. I think the answer is yes. Is that right?

thank you very much for this video. I appreciate your work a lot. I am a heavy tana user too. but to be honest I’m absolutely not impressed by the AI chat. they always say that you can chat with your notes which in some way is absolutely correct, but on a very very low level because you always have to give the context. So if I don’t know where the answer to my question is can I just cannot ask the AI chat for example, what is the email of client XY because when I don’t give a note as a context, it is not able to find anything so I already have to know where the answer to my question is and then ask the AI which is not very helpful. The examples that you gave in your video is a nice integration of a normal chat GPT chat but nothing that is really completely new in the business. You can say that this is just a nice representation of the Normal chat GPT chat. the only thing you get in tana is that you can copy paste it easily into your notes, but nothing more. but the biggest issue is that reference notes in your context will not be input for the answer.

Yes you are very true. I guess the complexity of integrating all of your notes into the LLM without blowing out quota budgets is something they haven’t figured out yet. I have no doubt it will come in time.

Yep photos can be upload to any node in Tana (not just the banners)

I see the "capture" feature in tana, includes the ability to add photo. But I'm searching for ppl's videos and photos of their tana and I can't find anyone inputting photos except as the top-banner. Can a node be a photo, or are photos only displayed at the top of the screen as a banner? Thank you

Yep any node can include a photo (not just banners). You can even upload them from your computer when on the desktop.

it's only been less than a week and i had to take a break from trying to get a hang of tana, see if i'll end up switching anyway.. other than for the collab-features; and im getting the hang of it! THIS IS AMAZING. my ideas r so crisp & clear - and im supposedly coming from a different block-based app which is much more ui-beautiful.. but i actually prefer this simplicity in tana! cant believe this app makes me so excited even after where im coming from! i never would have imagined.. tana actually makes me more focused on real impactful ACTIONS i could be taking in my projects rather than the colorful-good-feeling-ideas the other app inspires in me. tysm Ev
