Materials
Watercolour paint by Paul Rubens of LightWish - High intensity pigment pallet, and Anilinky high pigment pallet
Brushes
Assorted, flat, round and very fine. I use a variety of different makes but they are all very soft. I also use brushes for nail painting as they are very fine.
Paper
For watercolour you need a strong paper (300gsm) or you can use wallpaper lining paper which works really well
Pens
Fineliner marker by Daler Rowney and Fudenosuka
Acrylic pens by Aen Art, Posca and Lyuvie
Fountain pens by Jinhao, Lumy and Parker
Ink by Diamine

Hi Cate I just love how you play and experiment! Ànd that it's ok to not be perfect. Sometimes you get my OCD all riled up but luckily I can just go wirh the process anyway😂 I love your cheerful personality and all your encouraging words. Thanks so much. I love your channel and FB group too. WEATHER: Very hot here in the Phoenix area. Around 112 degrees and the humidity will hit us usually the first week of July😢💥❤

I love how the first layer merged out into the side colors like markings, also the second coat having slight glaze look to it. Yes I’m having a spot of tea as my English sister in law would say. The weather here in Central Wisconsin, USA 85 degrees, sunny with an occasional breeze. We had coffee ☕️ on our back deck with a friend in the morning with the birds singing. Your last page is lovely. Thank you for all you do for us. 😻

Watching this video from Kent and its windy/rainy Saturday morning, I am a total newbie to painting and finding it really easy to get to overwhelm with all the choices I want to dip into. I think this will be perfect to get me going. Thank you

You are very welcome, and I'm so glad you're here! You're right, it's easy to feel a bit overwhelmed... just take it one little step at a time :) (I went to school in Kent!) :)

This is the first tutorial I’ve seen demonstrating the steps to develop a piece! I had no idea that’s the way you’re suppose to work towards a finished piece. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing, I blame you for making me finally order the anilinky’s that I’ve wanted for so long… now I can’t wait to get them. It is amazing to see such a page full of a circle and just two lines, and the wonderful color combinations, I will definitely try that! ❤️🙏

I’m so glad to hear someone else recommending wallpaper/lining paper for wet media! I find even the cheap stuff performs better than student watercolour paper for loose wet-in-wet, acrylics etc.❤ I also use it for oil pastels as I like to work big and storing enormous sketchbooks is a pain.
