In second question (3:25)epoxidation is choosed by bottom face. But in clayden page no:846(stereoselectivity in cyclic molecules ) same kind of system with slight difference in the position of double bond showing epoxidation at top face. If possible please rectify this contradiction.

Just compare the positions of double bond in both the cases. Here the role of sterics is major because double bond is next to carbon having methyl group.
