Defense aside, when I saw Keegan play as a rookie he shot very confidently, he reminded me of a young Devin Booker. That said, he had more range and his shot is smooth too. Maybe he tops out being that version of The Truth that was robbed from us, by the stabbing.

I don't think people realize that Keegan is a giant for a SF at 6'9. And with his shooting he can basically play everything from 2-4 and generate positive results on both ends of the floor. The Kings cannot afford to give him up after letting Haliburton go. He is the future of the team

His Freshman year at Iowa, we had a really good team with national player of the year Luka Garza leading us. Keegan came in right away earning minutes because of how amazing he was on defense. That's why when he came into the NBA and people were saying we was a liability on defense and was purely a 3pt shooter, I was surprised. I'm glad he's starting to get credit for his defense! He's the perfect 3 and D wing in the modern NBA with his body and shooting. Can handle and pass competently and won't demand the ball or cause any problems in the locker room.

Here's what I think. I see a young Klay Thompson in this man, the stellar defence, the top tier shooting, it seems like the Kings made the right choice picking Murray over Ivey and many more. A true scheme fit that doesn't take away the ball from Sabonis/Fox, but compliments them and has the necessary tools to be the third option when needed.

Keegan is exactly what NBA coaches want out of their SF right now. Length to defend the perimeter and elite 3pt shooting. Now if he spends another season with Fox and develops an elite dribble drive package, he could very well be a multi-time all-star.

As he should be . He's a elite shooter & has potential to eventually be a elite scorer once he gets rid of the nights when he barely even shoots the ball . No reason he shouldn't be shooting 20 shots a night. Definitely a Allstar in the future once kings unleash him as the #2 in that offense all due respect to sabonis Murray ability as a shooter just raises the ceiling of what the offense can do once he starts being aggressive every night

Keegan Murray might end up being better than prime Klay Thompson. That’s my best comp for him and if he doesn’t end up getting two back to back major injuries like Klay did… that’d end up being a very scary player. Don’t forget that right before Klay sustained those injuries he was entering his prime form. If you think about it, Klay was becoming a better ball handler and passer, extending his value beyond just the catch and shoot and roll threat. If he hadn’t gotten injured GSW would probably have 1 more ring by now. Keegan hitting this form is scary to think about. I noticed last season that the kings coaching staff seemed to agree, having put an emphasis on him becoming a better defender and putting the ball on the floor more. They’re accelerating getting him to what prime Klay would have been.
