Once you have real standards and have tough conversations before the first date. It makes it way easier to find the one. Trust me. Imposters don't like talking about faith, finances, fitness, or family (kids and boundaries with inlaws,etc.)

I was so surprised he brought his daughter in the situation as quickly as he did and he needed her to take care of her while he handled his business. It was great things worked out but that was a huge risk emotionally for his daughter. I love them as a couple. They navigated well. It definitely takes a settled heart like the settling of concrete in the heart for that foundation as you move forward to build. The winds will come.

At the 16:00 minute you spoke on something that I think will be missed by a lot of people. People are saying their vows at the wedding but as soon as the marriage gets rough, they divorce. Unfortunately KZbin and the movies have created this fairytale for marriage and people are quitting as soon as it doesn't feel or look like the fairytale. Nobody is really willing to sacrifice for their marriage.
@Lifesjustthatsimple Жыл бұрын
Vows are no longer taken serious . Literally , people get married and play games right in front of God , from cheating , to ready to leave bc they aren’t happy , or bc finances aren’t there . They’ll say obey and submit but thinking in they mind I won’t be obeying and my dress looks good and I feel like a princess .

If he was satisfied being an extra, then he didn't like nor love you sis. One of your first questions should be what is your purpose in dating at this time of your life. If he does not state that he is ready to be someone's husband, ask directly. If he's scared, he's not ready. If he isn't dating intentionally to be married within 1-2 years with who God calls for him to marry, then he's not ready and it's not your job to convince him. Next. Don't make it an interview, but the questions need to be ask and you'll know where his head is at based on how he treats you and the types of questions he asks you. Stop giving people that don't even like you your time.🙏

She is so right, it does take two to make the marriage work. I mean it is so hard, when the man doesn't feel he needs help or has issues. My first ex husband is now a RS Offender, he was never healed from his childhood trauma from eight years old, and now he is a criminal. He used to abuse me, instead of getting the help he so desperately needed. My second ex husband divorced me to neglect and abandon our SN son.

At minute 36, I believe the vow of abstinence for single people would be a lot easier if there was commitment and participation from both parties: both the men and the women. Singleness May actually be a lot more enjoyable and endurable. That way marriage can be for those who are called to it VS. Those forcing their way into it🌱

Well I have been single for eight years, I am looking for companionship, and nothing more or less, because being married twice, is not the business, if you can't do it one time and get it right, then I feel it shouldn't take all of that. I am older now and don't have time for the drama, cheating and all the foolishness it causes.

I turned 60 this past June, I have been single for many years after being married briefly, I don't have any biological children. I recently met a man who is 58 with grown children who has adopted his 11 year old nephew when he was 10 months old. I am struggling with the thought of being a potential mother to a 11 year old when my thought of dating at this point in my life looked like a man who could travel with me and share other interests without certain obstacles. I am not sure if I am blocking my blessing by not embracing this opportunity, it is a really new connection and I don't want to have this young man to get attached to me and then once again be disappointed. The gentleman has told me that his son wants a mother and he is desiring a wife. I am praying about the situation because my flesh says RUN....God help me 🙏

The question would be in 3 years will you resent being with the man knowing your gone have to take on all this on your plate and continue ? If you know your gone resent him and the relationship , free that man for the right woman, who won’t feel the resentment and what not .

I understand the kids thing. My kid rule is either no kids or a max of 2 kids and the father(s) must be deceased. If the relationship or marriage didn't work with y'all it's going to be even harder to have a relationship with another adult in the mix. Co-parenting is way harder than just two happy and healthy households. Also, the divorce rate is 50% with the first marriage and 75% with the second. So I can understand the no divorce thing.

Spectacular podcast and thoroughly enjoyed. Divorce is permitted but not remarriage.
@my.0224 Жыл бұрын
@@lovebug6388 Marriage is a covenant that is only broken by death. Repeat the marriage vows to yourself. Till dear do us part. People repeat marriage vows not understanding God honors that covenant. Refer to the covenants made throughout biblical times. None of them have been broken. Since God hasn’t broken any covenants he made, he expects us to do the same. Divorce wasn’t an option in the beginning (Adam and Eve) . Jesus stated from the beginning it was not so. Divorce was only permitted due to the hardness of the people’s hearts. “It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: but I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.” Matthew 5:31-32 KJV How does one commit adultery if they’re remarried? Take the dialogue when Jesus met the woman at the well and he asked her to call her husband to which she replied I have none and he replied in that you are right for you have had five and the one you’re with isn’t yours. This subject isn’t being taught in churches because so many pastors have remarried. How does one teach a subject matter is wrong and they’re on their second and third marriage? After David had Uriah killed to be with Bathsheba, God always referred to her as the wife of Urias. “and Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;” Matthew 1:6 KJV To gain a more thorough understanding of divorce and remarriage, look at KZbins of Pastor Gino Jennings or Tony Evans.

@@lovebug6388 Gino is a knowledgeable quack and he speaks nothing but the unadulterated truth. He speaks truth most pastors are afraid to.
@my.0224 Жыл бұрын
@@lovebug6388 I never posted or removed a comment stating it’s ok to remain in an abusive marriage. AGAIN, one can divorce and leave the abusive marriage BUT, one is bound by the marital covenant until their spouse is deceased. Two things that frees one from sin and a marriage is DEATH. Divorce was NEVER God’s plan. Pastor Tony Evans was married for over 50 years. His wife PASSED 4 years ago. He is currently engaged. Death of his spouse freed him from his marital covenant.

This new word is soft life. Well, guess what this is 2023, not 1973. Grandma could afford to stay home it was not like that anymore. Unless you're rich you can't afford to have your husband be the only one working. 67% of people bring debt to their marriage. Being broke in your 20s is cool and undertable but to be broke in your 40s is not cool and most people especially women not going put up with that.
