Blade key, or smart key? You will probably be able to clone the transponder in a blade key, but not the remote or smart key

Once I compare that with my other tooling, I'll have enough data to evaluate initial purchasing quantities. That'll give me my base line and I trust Isaac to help me make the best decision from there.

Great video thanks. I unlocked a Rav 4 smart key with PCB no 271451-0500.wanted to add it as a spare key using xhorse key max pro tool. It beeped twice during programming but couldn't register the key. Got error code ERR61D100. tried a couple of keys that I had, I get the same error code. What could be wrong here?

Key tool max pro does not want to generate a OEM Prox Key fob for a 2016 Chrysler 200 keep saying to (Please use prox key) did the usual changed batteries an the circuit board. Same result Any thought I’d appreciated.. thank you

Supports many different makes and models. No guarantee that it works on every vehicle out there, but there are continual updates and no one tool does them all.

So this key cannot be cloned, only reprogrammed right? It will be nice to just clone it. What model and years of Toyota cars that have unlocked so far. I have vvdi mini tool, and like it so far.

As far as I’m aware, the smart keys for Toyota can’t be cloned yet, unfortunately. For the most part, i have only used it to unlock smart keys between about 12-18 model years. I’m not sure if it works on earlier models or not.

It doesn't work with all of them toyota smart keys I've tried. As I've seen they've unlocked other fobs like nissan fobs via the other vvdi with soldering wires.

The only keys that need unlocked are keys that are already programmed to a different vehicle.

Yes, but not many. This tool is mainly used for cloning keys. Youll need something like the autel im508 or the autopadpro to do tons of programming

Which is the more capable on AKL situation for smart Keys(especially Hyundai,Ford (same capabilities for Toyota with emulator on both)) They are completely same or there is any kind difference? I’ll be honest with you. I’m not sure if I’ve ever worked on a land cruiser for those models years. I truly don’t know the answer.

@@VoltageDropDiagnostics thanks for your honesty. I've just done immo programming via this vvdi tool and the obd sonata 2018 and Murano 17 worked perfectly. I've also managed to modify the buttons as it was wrongly programed. So it's got this function as well.

Curious as to whether when we're doing the programming with the Key Tool Max if we've gotta have it online accessible to the internet or not? I generally use my phone and connect to the devices that way to avoid having to turn on mobile hotspot feature of phone so Key Tool Max can connect. I generally charge, update the Key Tool Max once a week so current software is on device in case I were to forget phone. Just would be nice to know as then I'd know if I'm wasting my time pairing up with my phone to ensure I'm online all the time for IMMO, Programming work. I don't worry with key generation.

It doesn’t unlock them. But it does program them to the vehicle if they’re new, or have been previously unlocked

No, as far as I am aware, the autel does not unlock keys that are already programmed. But if the key is blank, the autel will program it to a vehicle for sure.

What are you looking to do with it? This tool is MOSTLY made to clone keys. It does have some programing functions, obviously, but not a lot. If you want to program factory keys, id be looking more into the IM508 or the IM608

@@VoltageDropDiagnostics Hey Thanks! (you probably already know a heck of a lot more about electronics than I do) Circuit boards can be tricky! Multi layer with ANY corrosion is junk... the rest is usually cracked/cold solder joints... "No Part Required" is ALWAYS the most fun!

@@VoltageDropDiagnostics meant to mention earlier check out Northridge Fix as he seems to have a good style down for soldering where you're getting up there with him @VDD based on what I've watched you and him do on your channels. Great content on both as well!! Watched a older tracer video he did yesterday where a Xbox X fell over with the HDMI cable plugged in. Had been to 2 other repair shops if I recollect properly. There's also a guy I use to watch that did Cluster videos. He was good. A little spendy though compared to the place out of North Carolina (Circuit Board Medics) as they'll give you a lifetime warranty on work they do. They do automotive, household appliances, etc. Maybe ECM as well but don't quote me on the ecm stuff. Good ex of lifetime warranties to me is my brakes on my 4 cars here at house. I paid for brakes, rotors the first time years ago and was only about $10 more per wheel for parts but now I just take him (parts house) the old rotors, pads and get new ones. He gets the boxes to return them and I walk away paying nothing for replacement pads, rotors. My Tahoe is a 04, impala is a 06 and each have over 130k miles. A few times already free already plus son and daughters car. Cheaper than buying new pads, easier to keep cars longer as well as brakes are seemingly a bigger expense than people think.
