I grew up in Mansfield a few blocks away from your family home in the Woodland area. My mom knew your mother and thought she was a lovely woman. My dad was a doctor at both hospitals in town. Everyone in the community was heartbroken by your mother’s murder. You are an inspiration especially to those who have experienced severe childhood trauma. I’m so impressed with your strength and perseverance. You are amazing!!!

Did you ever confront your dad about the vacation he was going to take you on that you had suspected that you would not return alive. Your gut instinct helped you so much. Especially that night saying don’t look up.

I strongly disagree. "Forgetting" or burying a trauma keeps you tighter in it's grip. This guy HAS freed himself of his father's grip with the fact he told the monster he loves him. Believe me I get it. It's amazing just how convenient the sociopath/narcissist's lack of self-awareness is. They are black belts at diversion and shifting the conversation. They absolutely know how to dip into a person's psyche and get them extremely riled up and pissed off and you why? Because we know just how ugly it is.

Hi Collier, I just watched this again after watching this quite some time ago. I thought I would reach out in response to your own experiences in your childhood with family cutting contact due to claiming you “look too much like your father” & this breaks my heart.. I have a brother 2 years older than myself, just hit his 40’s & he too experienced similar situations throughout his life with my aunties on my mothers side, due to my mother passing away in ‘89 of an overdose after being introduced to the crazy drug scene of the 80’s by my father in her early 20’s. After passing away in ‘89 @ 27 YO, my family blamed my father, he introduced her to a life of drugs & crime “Bank Robbery “ back then & my brother & I grew up with my grandparents on my mothers side & I remember so many times throughout my childhood hearing my aunties say to each other & to my brother that his exactly like our father & he doesn’t just look like him but that he was a lot like him & would grow up being exactly like him.. Unfortunately I think it was so severely drummed into his head from such a young age of I would say possibly 4 onwards, to the point he himself followed a very similar life “losing so many years” due to what I believe as sabotage to an extent due to the similar look he had to our “sperm donor” I nOw call him, after learning so much more about him & the things he did to my mums side of the family & especially my mother herself in my adulthood.. My brother has now finally turned his life around fully & is truly making me so proud “Not that I wasn’t before” I’m just proud now of his progress & his massive changes & not just his strength after everything his now accomplished.. I have to say my heart truly goes out to you Collier, I really couldn’t imagine having the struggles you did at such a young age.. I myself have lived away from home after the age of 14 for the complete opposite reason to my brother & that was me being an almost clone of my mother & how hard it was for so many people in my family to live day to day with the memories of the heartache & loss had a negative effect on myself.. Strangely enough my brother & I both can understand your struggle to an extent however your hardships in your young life will never be fully comprehendible by anyone with everything you had to stand up & fight & the strength & maturity way beyond your years that you had and just everything life threw at you @ such a young age & to have grown up such a compassionate, grounded & loving person is absolutely so commendable to watch, I truly take my hat off to you.. Much love & respect to you always 🙏🏼🤍

The lead up to the reading of these letters was excruciatingly long. And this guy sounds as narcissistic as his father. "I'm the only adult here" and "not everybody in my family is as strong as I am". Is building a life around a childhood trauma a sign of strength or exploitation? Regardless, Collier definitely STILL has a boatload of resentment and anger to work through. God bless him.
