Unlocking Smallholder Finance: The Role of Village Savings & Loans Associations

Financial institutions perceive farmers as high risk because their income is irregular and highly prone to environmental shocks. This documentary shows how Solidaridad and partners are supporting smallholder cocoa farmers to improve their credit-worthiness to attract credit from financial institutions. Solidaridad is providing this assistance through the Cocoa Rehabilitation and Intensification Programme funded by the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana.
