Before you even start assuming things and start intensely typing whatever, read the whole comment to the end and tell me what you think and your perspective on the subject, you might have some insights that I don’t, and I hope you understand, you may now continue reading further… You know.. *if* Doomfist was introduced *in Overwatch 1 as a Tank* with the Power Block ability or with his original DPS abilities two of which would give him 75 overhealth and 200 for one, which could either be Uppercut, Seismic Slam or Punch _(I like to call it Fist of Doom personally, it’s much more fitting)_ but then became a DPS character in Overwatch 2 then this reverse would’ve been million times better than the crap we got, I mean you can see how GOOD Doomfist really is as a Dive Tank in the 6v6 Workshop currently that’s being organised by a group of old Overwatch players with Winston and especially Winston in a coordinated dive or the opportunity Doomfist players could take advantage of with uncoordinated Winston, Dva or Wrecking Ball players where they [Doomfist players] dive in on the enemy backline with the Dva, Wrecking Ball or Winston players at the same time and especially Winston players, Doomfist or Tankfist as many would call him in OW2, would’ve been just as fun if not even more fun and most importantly, more fair than DPS Dooomfist in 6v6 Open Queue or Role Lock for that matter, that timeline is so fun to think about but urghh.. we can only imagine.. although what could become a reality is something I have been thinking about this idea or rather, *these* ideas that could make both Tankfist and DPS Doom very fun and dynamic in their overall gameplay without giving them 1 shot combos or what would basically be 1 shots and that is giving him a unique passive (which he already has, I know except for one thing I will mention later on..) where he can not only gain overhealth with his abilities but also from his Primary and his Ultimate (except the overhealth the ultimate would give, would be a part of his ultimate and not as an effect of his passive), I believe if you remove his healing ability in his Ultimate and instead give him a 0.6 decisconds of invulnerability and 700 overhealth *upon landing only for himself* and give him a passive where he gets a maximum of 50 or 25 overhealth for each shot depending on how many bullet shells hit a target from Doomfist’s Primary and have his Seismic Slam give him 50 overhealth and his Punch 50 while his Power Block would give him 150 and remove his damage from his Uncharged Punch but give it a very strong stagger that lasts for 2.7 seconds or 2.5 works too keep shooting his Power Block punishing by keeping the Empowered Punch the same unless Tank Fist doesn’t have the Power Block ability but his DPS/Mobility abilities then, in short, just give Uppercut 75 Overhealth, 150 Overhealth for Seismic Slam and 50 Overhealth for Punch but rework the Punch to be not as strong as Empowered Punch’s damage or Stagger duration but not as weak as Uncharged Punch’s damage and very short Stagger Duration. Keep in mind, these changes would be for Tankfist with DPS Doom’s abilities or Tankfist’s abilities only and all of it would need testing just to see if my ideas are maybe good in concept but need small adjustments and or reworks, although DPS Doom might share some of them so he wouldn’t have to rely on 1 shots, that would be the point of these changes if you haven’t figured that out, that’s what I’m trying to solve, the 1 shot problem of Doom, unless I’m missing something then feel free to point what that is and where I missed it even.

Charging your punch in front their face at a relatively safe distance and cancelling into power block to build up EP is smart. I have been coming across many players who are aware. so im always appreciative of finding new means of building EP against smart players👍🏽

For those doom mains the mental game of went to block against players is when u give them a sense of your weak enough that they think they can burst u down. If you get your timings right u can farm EP decent amount. Just make sure u r near corners and have slam as an escape tool if u think maybe you’re too-low and can get bursted down before building the charge meter.
