Appreciate the video! I totally understand the feeling. We have a great group of sky watchers here in the East Bay that head up on Mount Diablo and have an open house for the public to join. [Mount Diablo Astronomical Society] I have been up 10 or so times. I got to strap my Nikon onto the spotter scope of their hard mount. I was losing my mind. I got pics of Saturn during the day. Typically they have 10 - 12 different scopes set up for the public to look thru. Even a set of solar binoculars so you can see the sun spots as we wait for darkness. What's up there is Amazing. Now following the James Webb is wild. As far as photography, I have shot star circles, meteor showers ISS etc. It's a blast!

Wow, I’m so excited to check this out! I’m really just getting started even though I dabbled just a bit in it over the years. I ran my first 90 exposure night doing 30 frames from each of my three filters focused on the elephant trunk nebula! I’m hoping to get time with pixinsight tonight to develop it! I’m so pumped! Thank you for watching by the way! More to come! Clear sky’s to you!

Cool that you and your dad share this hobby. I hope he is just as happy about it as you are.

I appreciate you saying that! I didn’t have a father growing up so when I married my wife, her dad truly became my father. He’s everything a real man should be and has been a role model for me in my life. He’s a great man for sure!

I appreciate it!!! I can’t wait to process the files! Last night I was able to do 90 exposures on the elephant trunk nebula. I did 30 per filter! 30 for S, 30 for H alpha, and 30 for OIII. All monochrome so this will be a lot of fun!! Thanks for watching!!!

"I took that" .... Congratulations 100 times and more. Your description on this video hit nails on the head multiple times for me ... I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. There's a lot of folks working up the same results and walking, stumbling sometimes through the same experience getting there. Go handy!

It’s crazy how technically challenging this hobby is but once you figure some of it out you can at least get a decent picture. Nothing that hasn’t been taken before or better but it’s mine….its my work and my scope and my story. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!!!!

So cool to see you so excited. Can’t wait to see your final images. And I’m taking bets on how long until you buy another telescope. 😂

Okay okay…Rob is not playing nice! Hahaha! So….if any telescope companies out there want to collaborate and let me review your gear…I’m always game for it! Let’s do this!
