Doug, the school's NIL reps make the athlete enroll before anything is signed. He got the verbal commitment, enrolled, and then they sat on their 'collective' hands about the payment. He assumed they weren't going to pay, therefore, no need in ruining his final year of eligibility that would have occurred if he played 4 games in the season.

I have 2 degrees from UNLV and been going to their games for over 20 years, as a student and way after. OF COURSE this would happen to us as soon as we have a decent team 🤣 can’t make it up man. I’ll wait another 50 years till we’re good I guess cause this is gonna sink recruiting. Feel awful for our fan base who waited so long for success. Not saying we won’t have a successful season still but I don’t like the vibes throughout the team because of this. I feel like it’s gonna cause a rift.

@@patrickduvigneaud5857what I believe and from all the different stories I’ve read is that, the offensive coordinator just threw out the idea of 100k verbally without permission from the higher ups. Nobody got anything in writing except the 3k relocation fee and 3k a month. So UNLV says “we gave him what was promised”. They’re talking about the 3k. So pretty much the offensive coordinator made a false verbal promise. But sluka was too dumb to get it in writing. So they’re both at fault. It’s a complete disaster and gonna sink the program back to what they used to be unfortunately.

I obviously have zero inside info,but I was wondering...what if the QB is lying,not the school? What if he's just trying to leverage the 3-0 start to transfer to a better situation? I don't think it's about not getting what was promised...dude isn't a top nfl prospect. Maybe he wants to stretch his college career out as long as he can,by using the redshirt this season...and then playing for a bigger D-1 team in 2025🤔

why would he go there if they didn't promise him money + the second he knew he wasn't getting the money, he stopped playing = he's telling the truth, the team lied to him, now they're going to pay for it + NCAA has BEEN ripping these kids off for DECADES, so the second they start getting paid, you can't tell them they can't get paid too! UNLV looks really stupid here + their seasons about to get a reality-check from "karma"

He got GREAT advice + now he's protected himself from LIARS/VULTURES, who think they can STILL use these kids for FREE!
