Both of my dogs are fed raw (once since a puppy), and I have lied to my vet for over 2 years about what they are fed to avoid the conversation. As far as they know, they’re on Orijen kibble and according to our vet, they are in perfect health, ideal weight, and optimal condition (unknowingly thanks to raw). I’m lucky that there are resources like Dr. Morgan that advocate for raw because if a trusted professional, like my vet, told me that kibble was the only way to ensure my dog’s had a healthy diet, I would 100% believe them.

I wouldn't and don't lie. i don't care what my vets or dr.s say when they are wrong and I know they are wrong. my pets are carnivores and I only eat meat too. I've done so for years.

I watched a documentary on mars and it portrayed the company as so caring and loving with your pets and showed the ppl that worked at the company brought their pets to work with them and they even sampled the pet foods several times a day with the ppl joining in…they really laid it on thick and even had me for a min…

Schools teach how to read human nutritional labeling for elementary and high school level students in the U.S. But dog food nutritional labeling isn't in the same format, and doesn't show the same information. So, it's like deciphering an incomplete complex math problem. (and yes, math IS involved, if you want to know the carb levels.) I've been trying to decipher carb counts on dog food labels, and sometimes it adds up right, and sometimes the information they provide doesn't add up. You practically need to have a nutritional degree in dog nutrition to be able to make sense of it all.

I "was" with a very well known guide dog school. The sickest dogs. Kibble, vaccines, and preventatives. I left. Every single dog has zero gut health in there. I witnessed it. A pill for every ill.

I sad,y won’t e able to take my dog to the US going forward because all the new rules won’t wash with me. I live just outside the Montana border. Oh well my dog is more important

Farmers dog is way too expensive. I feed a raw diet by looking for sales on meat and fruits and veggies. I'm fortunate live in a rural area . Buy in quantity, than freeze. It's not as expensive as you think.

@Dr.JudyMorgan’sNaturallyHealthyPets I cancelled my subscription to The Farmer’s Dog and began making my own dog food. Mostly due to cost, I knew I could do homemade for a more affordable price. What ratio of meat to veggies do you recommend? I have a female golden retriever that’s almost 60lbs. She seems to have a nice figure and I can feel her ribs slightly but they don’t stick out. I would like to keep her at 60 lbs. No more than 65 lbs. I just know it’s better on her joints and heart to maintain a healthy weight. She’s active with fetch, running and swimming.

Dogs don’t really need veggies, but if you do feed any, I understand they’ll need to be cooked or put through a food processor to break them down. Feeding veggies would amount to a very small percentage of your dogs diet. Just my advice that you can take or leave!

I love you both but I get so overwhelmed with all of this information! My dog has constant diarrhea and gurgling sounds from his belly. I've tried probiotics probiotics and salmon oil. Not all at once. He also gets scaley Skin sometimes oozing. Please help! I cook for all my dogs. FYI he's allergic to chicken, milk, and eggs which he loves so much, but I dont give it to him

@tonyaall73 are your other dogs having diarrhea or just him? My dog had the same gurgling sounds. It all revolves around the diet. Try Ollie fresh beef dish, I give mine Ollie mixed with their gently cooked kibble. (Petco has) Try adding teaspoon pureed canned pumpkin, not the sweetened one to the food.

Non holistic vets need to retire. Why would you go into a career of helping animals if all you do is to the detriment of the animal? They do harm by prescribing vaccines boosters insecticides & kibble. Someone needs to start a holistic vet school curriculum
