Week 1 was pretty obvious. Great game by Tua. His play really opens up the offense, and gives us unbelievable potential. I honestly feel we need to start giving Elite 11 QB Mac Jones the 2nd string snaps. Its pointless to bring Jalen off the bench, especially in pressured situations, ESPECIALLY if we down points. That TD pass right before then half was a lot harder than it looked too. He starts throwing the ball while Jeudy was on about the 15 yard line and it landed right in his hands in the back of the endzone . Jeudy never had to check up at all, the pass was absolutely perfect.

I predicted he'd win the Heisman but it could be close. We know Saban doesn't pad stats or run up the score like some coaches will. He doesn't want to take a chance of Tua getting hurt in garbage time and he likes to get the 2nd/3rd team experience which is partly why we are able to have only 3 returning starters on D and still have a great D every year. A 1st year starter at Bama has already played a lot of football usually. Back to Tua, with our defense most games we will be up 3 or 4 TD's at halftime so Tua isn't gonna have as many snaps as some of the top QB's from other teams. So Tua's stat totals won't be as high as some heisman candidates. Tua will have a great QBR, yp/att, completion %, and a lot of plays on sportscenter's top 10 highlights. He'll also have an undefeated team and many Heisman moments against some good teams which may be two of the best things going for him. Every week he won't have the most pass yards but he's gonna make plays like he's magic or something. If the voters keep in mind that all of his stats come from playing in only the 1st half most games and maybe a few games in the 3rd qtr he should win.

@@saintofnowhere He won't have the highest stats, but I'd say he will have the most consistently high stats. The Heisman trophy isn't solely based on stats, the eye test plays a big part in it and Tua is definitely pleasing to the eye.

He just does not do any one thing as good as the other players on this team. Really appreciate the how good a guy Jalen is, but the videos don't lie. Jalen hurts is just not a qb and should transfer out at the end of the season. Saban should not play Jalen more than 4 games to save his redshirt. Tua for Heisman.

There will be PLENTY of mop-up work for whoever is going to play. Tua is going to run up leads on teams real quick and Saben will pull him as soon as he is comfortable. Jalen could go in to run the clock and limit turnovers with a good chunk of time left, against teams in that situation. IF? he can make enough first downs to satisfy Saban.).

Friendly Stranger he really hit it on the head. Jalen just doesn’t seem to have the vision for or the confidence in his receivers downfield. Even when Tua DOES run up the score (as we all know he will), we’d be better off letting Jones and Robinson mature and develop more together on the field in-game. We should be grooming the young guys and continue to work towards the future, rather than holding on to a player that just doesn’t have a role to fill anymore. Sad but true. But not even cause we’re rolling ahead! Jalen was a TEMPORARY FIX. And now the Lane Kiffin offense that was super effective can return just like it was meant to two years ago.

Yeah Tua however is a whole other animal when it comes to passing he can strike quickly with precision accuracy. Indeed he did start out 16th and won the elite 11. His coach said he was the most gifted passer he ever coached and he also said last season that if bama started him he believes he would win every game in a blowout. I think Tua is a much more advanced QB than people realize.

Tua= 24/7 buffet Jalen= Bulimia In complete agreement about Mac Jones being the backup. Vinny Sunseri said it best about Jalen-- "Jalen won't go pro. Transferring to another school wouldn't be good for him either. He should've spent the summer & fall camp learning a new position after the A Day game where he showed he'll never be able to excel at an elite level at the QB position in a conference like the SEC with so many great defenses." I'm just like you. I don't get why Nick is babying Jalen so much throughout this whole ordeal either. It's as if he believes sitting Jalen down in his office and telling him he's no longer the starting QB is the most dreadful, most excruciating thing he's ever had to do. It's as though the only other thing he considers a worse fate is having to state publicly that Tua is the QB now. This befuddles me since Nick has never handled a player with kid gloves before. Never. For Chrissakes, guys like poor 'ol Matt Mauck (2003 LSU), Greg McElroy, and Jake Coker could never do anything right by Nick. Yet, unlike Jalen, those guys actually won their championships! I don't want Hurts as QB at all but I still feel kinda bad for him. Dude was on top of the world and now he's riding the bench. Man this is pure gold! I’ve waited a while for this video lol. Boyyyy Tua showed off in that game. Move Jalen to TE, I think he can flourish there. Mac jones is definitely a nice back up to our hiesman hopeful QB. Everytime TUA drops back it feels like a TD.

8:57 im astonished by Tuas awareness and ability to process information and make quick decisions. Most people see Tua being elusive in the pocket and making a pass instead of using his legs, but alot of guys dont see why he didn't decide to run.
