Laughing so much at the adaptor part. I would never go away from a multi but did had a funny experience at my accommodation in Tokyo a few months ago where my adaptor was too heavy that it wouldnt stay in the socket at all. I ended up using the tv remote on a vertical angle to hold it up 😂

I'm going for 4-5 months early next year and am hoping to take just a 40-litre backpack, but looking at all the stuff you took and used and would take again, I'm not sure we'll fit it all in! Would be interested in you doing a 'pack a 40-litre backpack' video to see what you decide makes the cut and what can be left behind!

I have a 50l backpack ( currently travelling in southeast asia) and i would not recommend more than 50l and if i would buy a new backpack i would buy a 40l one. It will be hard during the packing but it will be worth it. And if you truly miss something you can always buy it there and you can always wash there as well. I will now be sending a package home bc i just have too much stuff😂 so i truly recommend a 40l one and the chlothes here are so cute and amazing and cheap. So maybe pack less chlothing and shop there if you need (or want). Anyways i hope you have an amazing trip

make sure what you pack is under 7kg, airlines in SEA are being very strict apparently.

I find that people tend to pack to whatever capacity backpack they have, and as a result, will overpack for "just in case" situations. Considering that you'll be carrying your items, I recommend no larger than a 40L as well. Looks like her toiletries and make-up ate up alot of her space

How much planning did you do for this trip? I only have been to thailand for 28 days. i didnt country hop. im going as soon as I can to all SE asia--Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam. etc i feel prepared for Thailand obv, and i made a loose itinerary of 3-5 things to do wherever we were depending on our mood. every day we had options for our energy level and adventure level. :P it wass a lot of work. i dont know if i could do that for 4 countries tho so im curious as to how other people do it.

@@Cole_Cross we didn’t plan really. We did a bit of research on what to do/see in each city and country we wanted to visit initially just so that we wouldn’t waste any time when we got there but honestly it all goes out the window when you are there anyway. You’ll meet people that will recommend you things to do and places to go, and then you’ll just make a plan as the time goes on. Planning it all out takes the fun and spontaneity out of it, just enjoy it whilst you’re there! It’s so much easier in the moment than it is to comprehend before you go honestly! 😄

Regarding snorkelling mask, could you not buy your own when you were in Asia or they weren’t easy to find or too expensive? Just wondering why we’d need to bring one from home and carry it the whole time (especially if someone is going to go to some places where it’s not going to be needed)

@@elenidededaki we didn’t have our own ones with us but to be honest we would’ve if we had room in our bags! You can of course rent them everywhere, but Having your own reliable one instead of rentals which are used by lots of people every day would’ve made a huge difference. :)

Just asking because I’ll also go to Asia for 4 months but before, I’ll go to Central Asia and I won’t be doing any swimming so I don’t want to be carrying it with me the whole time. If available, I’d like to buy the snorkelling gear when I arrive to Asia. Thank you so much for the video by the way! It was super helpful ☺️
