A big tip for groceries: make sure to write out everything you need before going including meals, snacks, etc. then go on the grocery stores website and write out how much everything costs so that you can figure out what to prioritize over other things. I always do this and I spend no more than $60 on groceries a month and end up with a lot of food and meal options!

Oh, and avoid brand names when you can. Most off brands taste exactly the same but are way cheaper.

Love the outro with your Father, he's so photogenic. Oh you mentioned you felt like you spent a lot grocery shopping and didn't seem like a lot. That's usually what happens when you do your initial shopping. The odds and ends really do add up. In a couple of weeks it'll start to level out, when you only shopping for things you need for the week and starting to learn sale patterns.

If you are worried about your fridge, they make thermometers that you just place in the fridge to make sure it is holding the temp.

I've just turned 30 and moved into a new place, i definitely prefer a more adult look naturally now, keeping nerdy stuff to my gaming room. When i had my apartment at 20 though, it was filled with posters and quirky things, and now it's my favourite place memory and makes me smile so much. So my advice is enjoy the posters and nerdy things now, when you're older you will look back and be so fond of it. Plus its a good transition from moving out of your lifelong room to your own place, it will feel like home away from home. I know you've been so stressed, but i really hope you love your apartment. Even though im older, you have inspired me so much, and helped me be more organised and driven! Congrats again on your new home, its absolutely gorgeous!

honestly stocking an apartment with your first few trips to the grocery is one of the most stressful things, you have to buy all your condiments that you need, spices that you use often and it costs so much. But then after you have that you go to the store and get just random things. very happy that you got settled.

Good rule of thumb when getting an appt. Try for a ground floor appt. Preferably the outside bottom left or right if it's available. Easier for furniture moving and if you have kids especially. Hope and pray you dont get asshole neighbors. Lol. I know people that have horrible appt neighbors that get pissed if you breath wrong. Lol

You ever tried giving yourself a budget like say 100 dollars and you look for things you want on sale and get as much stuff for 100 dollars. This helped me for years. Giving myself a limit so I don't overspend. When I get everything that I need I usually have a few bucks left for snacks. Lmao 😂
