J-Bodies are weird and awkward. They are an interestinge element BUT they're found via sidequests exclusively at the moment and as I said before, I don't expect most story missions or affinity missions to really be changed. What this could mean is that they introduce this concept through the Extra Story and people who havn't finished Yelv's Questline which is admittedly rather long would be very confused I think its far more likely that J-Bodies would be re-introduced as a concept in Xenoblade X 2 as you can easily then throwback to this quest and introduce it to the players as a new concept, all the while, people who did play this mission in the previous games will recognise the concept

Oh the possibilities... The best part? It probably won't even take that long until we find out with another trailer. I'm just as curious about how many things they'll change in the main story. Like Alvis receiving a red aegis crystal, instead of a key from the Wii verson. Which is a small change for something much, much bigger. I can't wait man.

Heres a fun one. Why couldn't alpha leave origin in his human form? Obviousy he was able to use origin's data to recreate himself in the form we knew him as in the first game but he never left beyond origin's boundaries. Only his core could. Him and A were definitely logic vs emotion/spirit (takahashi has done this dynamic multiple times like with mythra and malos for example). What if his story about some touching the monado gain visions is entirely true? I mean shulk gained them, yet he had both zanza and alvis trying to sway him (implying his true status in hindsight and context). Given his shennagins in future redeemed, it probably was how he obtained an avatar too in the first game but he leaves that part out, knowing shulk will find out himself soon enough; that alvis is simply someone like arglas that got taken over by a god. I'd like to think that alvis genuinely liked either the person attached to the body he uses or they were the closest similarity to him in both physical preference and personality. His charisma is unmatched, you can hang out with hiim but you can't trust him.

I think the J-bodies sotry bit may be integrated into the main story, and that both L and Celica will have more prominent roles. And yes, I dont thin it will be just a separated epilogue, I think the additions will be fully integrated and continuous. Also, the most likely connection to the Klaus saga is via the Samaar federation, that at the down of time, came in from another plane.

You see in the Opening Cinematic this exact Phenomenon with all the Big Purple explosions on the Planet BUT the ones that finishes the Earth off is WAY bigger so I've always took it as this is referring to the explosions on Earth but not the final big one That said, the only thing there which might be capable is the Ghost Mother Ship which if thats what blew up, then I guess that works (Although the Ganglion Arrived on Mira from this event so???)

@ArceusDX They don't have to retcon anything. Nothing is saying there wasn't a Zohar equivalent present that manipulated probability to alter the fabric of reality itself. The Zohar, or rather what is contained or embodied by the Zohar, is a constant that exists in all timelines and realities. Its specific power is to find an answer, perceive the answer, and bring the answer into existence. It can literally do anything, and in that sense, calling anythong a retcon os kinda silly.

I want the new story elements to focus on the planet Mira itself. I'm intrigued by the way that every race understands each other's languages and why everyone is still alive with the Lifehold destroyed.

i wonder if they are going to retcon the destruction of earth by just handwaving it as the people just assuming that the white flash they saw was the earth blowing up. a lot of people want it to somehow connect to the radio from 3 FR, but the main issues with that were always the fact that the two armies fighting eachother above the planet are alien forces and not the rebels we saw in 2 and the flashback in 3 FR. the other thing being earths destruction by said aliens. personally i would prefer if they kept them seperate or at least didn't connect it right away. or at least without the radio and more in a general multiverse way.

Yea, that cutscene starts to get really busy if you add the XCX war into it as well so I don't think thats the best way either. I can see the white flash being kinda retconned tho so its less of an explosion and more of a flash of light with the Earth disappearing. At that point, Ogdoad sort of situation?

The plaque shining in that scene is just a visual representation of what Lao is talking about, since he now has Luxaar's memories. It's showing the moment where Luxaar's ship found the plaque, and scanned it with their technology to see if it has samaarian(human) DNA. It shone, proving Luxaar's fears. I'm pretty sure of this, because in the same chapter(ch12), there's a sudden 5 seconds flashback when Luxaar is talking to the random ganglion dude about the Trion Barrier. The random ganglion argues with him ''but if they are truly the founder's(samaarians) descendants...'' and Luxaar immediately dismisses it ''are you daft!? These are humans we're talking about, not...'' But then a flashback is inserted, where it showcases the ganglion mothership finding the plaque. It's the first scene of the game too, you see it in the opening cutscene, so its clearly supposed to be a pivotal moment in the overall storyline: the moment the ganglions found the plate, humanity and earth's fate were decided. They were probably the ones that told the samaar federation about earth's whereabouts, and it might've leaked to the ghosts too. Everyone wants something from humanity - be it destroying them(Ghosts definitely want that) or maybe getting something from them, because they're the samaarians descendants. So anyway, the flashback is put into that scene purposefully to showcase that if Luxaar really believed that humans had no chance of being the ''founder's descendants'', then he wouldnt have took that plaque in the first place and scanned it/made some experiments with it inside his mothership. Remember, Lao in his last moments is talking about the memories he got from Luxaar - not his own. So it was Luxaar's memories ilustrating that dialogue of humanity's DNA being the failsafe. Luxaar feared that humans were indeed descendants of samaar and could become their future masters/oppressors via the failsafe, so he made sure to go after earth, and still wants to kill them now. This is a long-winded way of saying that, yes, its subtle and more like something you need to infer, but the point of the plaque shining is just serving to illustrate the point that humanity's DNA was in that plaque, and its the failsafe that could fuck with the ganglions. It's fullfiling the same narrative purpose of the only other memory we have of luxaar, the flashback i mentioned earlier where he gets the plaque in the first place; its illustrating his fears.

Thats an interesting interpretation but I'm not sure I'm entirely convinced. I don't believe that just scanning something like that would reveal Human DNA and cause it to glow like that. It's also not Luxaar who would have any influence over the Samaar Federation as again, the Ganglion were only a small crime syndicate within it so them having the Influence to send the entire Fleet there feels a bit excessive, especially when they then proceed to continue to attack Earth. This is a very interesting idea tho and it may turn out to be correct but I think we need to see the DLC first and have the story be fleshed out in these Extra Story Elements before I'm completely convinced

I feel like maybe Lao surviving and being fused to the lifehold has to do with why everyone lived after the main campaign but thats always been my theory. The likelihood of a sequel has never been higher and with Klaus Saga done there is nothing stopping Monolithsoft and Takahashi from making an X trilogy/saga now. If X also sells well and is marketed right then it has a chance to topple the sales of xenoblade 2 even potentially. Its hard to say on the sales front because X is like an anomally of a game imo. Its like a mecha fan's dream game, if the exploration is marketed right BOTW fans will give this game a try and who doesn't love a good simple SCI fi adventure? A sequel has a chance to expand upon lore and start giving more answers that are missing. I really don't get why people think you could "fix" X's story when it was never meant to be a one off game like the mainline Klaus saga which is more like FF and not very connected outside lore mainly. I don't think i want X connected to mainline because X doesn't need it imo and 2 i don't like the idea of making X part of the virtual worlds and thus not existing in the xenoseries itself. Not a fan of VR stories usually as well though so its also bias. The other is trying to connect X i fear could cheapen how unique and cool X is compared to its siblings of the Klaus Saga.

The only way I've seen so far which I'll be truly content with is the whole Ogdoad thing because it thematically fits super well. On an individual basis, each one of the games would still remain seperate but you could effectively mold a timeline of events across all the games to understand roughly whats happening. Its like outside of each games own story, a Larger, more interwoven Narrative is being created

So heres what i think I think the devs planed a 30 hour DLC that was going to finish up the games story with black knight as the big bad,but part way it was scrap, and most likely cause of funds. ITs maybe why at the time there was no chance of a port, cause if it was to be ported they would plan to redo a lot of the story So this is what I'm thinking X is and the black knight a rumor is the black knight uses the same voice as on of the avater voices

So the party needs to go search aroun to figure out how to stop it from being created in future redeemed. Answer 2 : what Goetia-ass? Knew you had impeccable taste 😎 The possibilities for the new story stuff are really intriguing and every video I see brings up a new angle I hadn't considered (the pioneer plaque being important here for example). It'll be interesting to see which unanswered questions and threads they pick up here and which they save for down the road. I definitely agree the Ghosts themselves need the sequel though. They strike me as way too big to just be bolted on in a remaster.

I dont really know what i should hope for. On one Side it would be cool to retcon something to make it connect to the other Games (to shut up the Xenosaga Fans which said it isnt possible). But i would also love just more XCX (please, something additional like pharsis or Telethia and more Story in between). But either way i am exited for the Exploration part of this Amazing World - the main selling Point for me (its just incredible and probably because of that my favorite Xenoblade)

Do you honestly believe it's just coincidence that Takahashi teased Project Exodus in Future Redeemed and that it is a completely different event xd I'm telling you the whole "earth blowing up" part was one of many lies that the government told in X and Klaus pressing the button is the starting point to all these games. That cutscene and incident would be WAY to crowded tho. You'd have the Saviourite Rebels and the Artifices duking it out with one another to prevent them seizing the Conduit whilst Arc Ships Flee the planets as they are attacked by both the Ghosts and Samaarians who are also fighting above the planet (But probably relatively close to the Orbital Station). I agree that it wasn't just a coincidence and as a fellow X enthusiast, I agree that they wouldn't reveal the true nature of Project Exodus to the Public (Especially when only certain High Ranking or Important People were even invited for the first place which is all Lao's problem with it) but even so, I just can't believe these inclidents would ever be the exact same We also know that the Earth is called EARTH in Xenoblade X but we don't ever get a name for "Klaus' World"

I see where you are coming from when you say that it looks like there is too much going on with the Saviourites and the war going on at the same time but seeing how the government kept the real purpose of Exodus a secret, it is not impossible to think that it was the final straw for the Saviourites and they planned the attack on the same day on purpose. We also have to question if they even told us the truth about the war in the first place. It is clear that the Ganglion and even the Ghost want humanity dead seeing how they chased us down till the end but why were they having a war against each other in the first place and how did Elma know what their plan was and decided to come alone to earth to save humanity? So many open questions that don't give us the full picture and could tie into the events on earth.

But its not our exact Earth, nobody refers to it as such and there only mention of anything Earth-Like is via the Siren Model Kit stating Africa. Everything else is split up into different Authorities like the Rhadamanthus Authority and Minos Authority. Compare this to Xenoblade X and we have literal Mentions of America, Japan and France as well as other actual Real World Nations. The way both are presented are vastly different from one another (For right now, this may change in the future)

"Plaque" I completely forgot this , thanks for the reminder But for my ideas this cant be Logos / Malos cuz it wouldnt fit with the timeline i think of. "Klaus Saga" I stick to XC3FR made it clear that all Xeno games (Blade , Gears , Saga , Cross) have the same point of Origin , which is the same Earth and the same Klaus white light moment , but have no connection to what happens within the canon of the pocket dimensions of XC 1 2 3. "White Light Moment" vs "Earth Destruction" Here too , i stick with unreliable narrator , the players and Portags of XC 1 2 3 only got fed the info they needed for the plot to make sense. For Example : Shulk didnt need to know that there was a Saviorite Rebel attack and that the Space Station was actually a Orbital Ring Station. Which is more clear to think , since even tho XCDE came out after XC2 , it did not include the updated informations presented to XC2 players. "Unreliable Narrator Lin" "Manipulated Memories" In the Intro Cutscene of XCX Narrator Lin says Earth was Destroyed In the Cutscene that plays when the Player reaches NLA for the first time , Narrator Lin says that Earth was swallowed in a shroud of white light In the end Cutscene Narrator Lin says "Everyone else says Earth died that day" but she dosnt believe it , and one day she wants to go out there looking for it. Looking for earth is a Saga theme ... The Narration can also be unreliable because at the after credit cutscene we saw how the Life Hold Core was essentially destroyed from the very beginning , so everything we played and thought was true , might not be true at all. In addition Yelvs whole manipulated memories and JBody thing is also a thing that exists in XCX. So at this point we know absolutely nothing. "Saga Connections" I bet we get a lot of Saga connections in XCXDE , there wasnt any in the original XCX , but i bet they will setup XCX canon to play in the timeline between the Klaus Saga and Xenosaga plots . This would give them further chances to explain why the Core Processor of the Life Hold looks like a Zohar Emulator (or should i say Conduit Emulator to be in Blade canon) And they could further establish Vectors involvement in everything. It would also be possible to bridge the time gap between Cross and Saga by saying Yuriev used a Mimeosome for the time being. "Sakuraba Industries" IIRC in the cut content the original idea was that Sakuraba Industries would be a Arms Manufacturer of another Japanese Exodus Ship , so they could also replace it for a retcon with Vector without having to do much editing in the files since the second exodus ship was cut anyways. But they could also just change any of the Arms Manufacturers if they so chose. They could also introduce a second exodus ship ... "Cut Content" Include things like a Second Japanese Exodus Ship with a japanese themed resort and a huge Sakuraba Industries Headquarter , the idea to explore 3 planets not just one , Lucifer , Black Knight , Qlurian and their Space Ship that was originally planed to be stationed above NLA , not the Manon Ship ... the Qlurian ship should also have been much bigger in size. There was also a idea to have the player have a controlable Space Craft for exploration. Im sure they can use some of this content as additional content for XCXDE , maybe even tease at the end a XCX2 that will then use the rest of the cut content that didnt fit cuz of time or money into XCXDE. "Not Malos" Malos was a persona created by the bond between the Logos Trinity Processor Unit and Amalphus , if anything Logos could come back in some way shape or form without being tainted. Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator ... Logos new persona would also not sound like Malos . The Black Knight Model had a purple light in the chest , the artwork had a blue one tho ... so this might just have been the first concepts for what later became the Blades in XC2 . Elmas forehead Crystals were also meant to be a Core Crystal Concept design of some sorts ... but was never a thing in the game. So im sure Logos will at some point re-appear in the overarching timeline of the Xeno franchise as a whole , but we will see if he actually comes back for XCXDE. What is intriguing tho is ... if we couldnt know who the guy with the black hood is ... then why bother hiding his face under a hood in the first place. "Additional Continued Content" vs "Seperated Epilog Content" I would much rather have it in direct continuation with getting Lao back too , so the training and Heart to Hearts on him wouldnt be wasted. But it is more likely that it will be an Epilog Content playing on Mira but in a linear fashion , with a second exodus ship crashing on Mira shortly after the main plot ends , or before that on a Continent prior not existing / seen. Plot could go as follows : Lao and Black Knight meet up at the beach , both are playable characters , both make their way to the second japanese exodus ship with a huge Qlurian Ship flying over it. At some point there starts some conflict between the Qlurian and the Ghosts and / or another Human faction. Human faction could then turn out to be Elma , Lucifer and Celica / Rock and this would lead to them joining up with the party with additional Main or Sidecontent for Lucifer and Celica and the Qlu. The main Antagonist would be the Ghosts. This could also bring Elma and the Black Knight together , if that guy is the Original Hero , this could be also Main content , And if the Content leads us back to NLA we could also get the Original Tandem Ares to play with. This setup would give them plenty of opportunities to include a bunch of cut content. And would let them present us with a plot that could actually answer a bunch of open questions. Especially if a second exodus ship has a fully functional Life Hold Core and also a Conduit Emulator.

Gnosticism will likely always be embedded in Takahashi's stories but it is never really the forefront anymore. For instance, Xenoblade 1 does take from Gnosticism but it is far more focused on the idea of Monadology. Xenoblade 3 is more about Nihilism as he states in the Art book "Through the lense of Nietzsche, Noah as a character can be understood to be an ubermensch that rejects nihilism."

The Ghosts that we actually see are referred to as "Bio-Weapons" in a few different sources related to X so they aren't actually the inhabitants or the race as far as I can tell. This is why in the past I've compared them to the Moebius Scraps or all those enemies you see within Origin in Xenoblade 3 as they may have a similar aethetic (Under the guise that something or someone new is now in control of Origin)

I’m hoping our dialogue choices will actually factor into the story this time, even if it just minimally changes the plot. I’ve only gotten to Chapter 5 in the original version, so I can’t say I know a whole lot about what goes down in the major events, but I would REALLY love it if our dialogue options could somehow get the boss antagonists on our side. Goetia is all, “Blegh, humans are filthy creatures. I’m racist for one reason or another. Also, please enjoy this shot of my perfect butt. TAKE IT IN. I’M SEXY AND MEAN AND THAT’S MY CHARACTER.” Okay-WHY does she and the other hot alien baddie hate humans? Humans escape from Earth because they’re caught in the crossfire of an interstellar war between two factions that see them as bugs to be ignored. To be able to talk through our differences and find a definitive reason WHY they hate humans would be a great reason to have meaningful dialogue options. Plus, if Goetia is on my side, I can cackle every time she unleashes a devastating electrical AOE attack. Good times.

I do think that the Majority of the Game's story will remain the same but I do get the feeling that there willbe many "Inserts" throughout. For instance, in the recent Trailer, the Lin scene where she looks up and appears like a Gremlin doesn't actually exist in the Wii U version of the game...kinda (This whole segment does exist but the Camera Work and the way the whole scene is framed is completely different so could this mean there will be new story content or something else here?). If they were to keep the story the same tho but just change the ending, then I'd be ok with that too. We don't actually know anything about who the Black Knight was supposed to be, I merely speculated in my vids that he would be a Samaarian Villain (Because I based this on both him and the Lone Hero having been designed at the same time but thats not necessarily true). If the Black Knight were created afte, towards the end of Development, possibly explaining why his concept art is so much more detailed, then it is very possible that this was the Lone Hero reimagined and this is now the same character, just re-designed to fit in more with the game (Also worth noting you should look at the Hooded Guys pants in the Trailer, they're the exact same as what Lao is wearing with his Skell gear...coincidence?)

I think anyone hoping for a full story expansion is going to be disappointed. "New Story Elements" tells me they adjusted some of the more wonky parts of the story, and have added a few post game missions to tie up a few loose ends and then tease a sequel. Maybe even some very very loose klaus saga connections, but nothing concrete IMO. I also think that the Black Knight is totally Lao, it just makes too much sense "Fancy seeing you here" is a great line when you run into a copy of yourself lol

@@JBspherefreak While this part about the pure fan's speculation is true, there is still basis for this in their old recruitment ad, which people assumed was for Zelda totk, but this ad persisted beyond the totk release and was taken down only when the "new rpg" ad started. Also, the "new rpg" ad doesn't really specify much beyond the scope of ambition and needed positions; you had to actually look elsewhere to find specifics amongst which mecha design was listed. It's natural to assume that even if Monolithsoft is now doing fantasy or any other game, they will return to Xenoblade, which will require those mecha-related skills as well, so I don't think it proves or disproves anything. Also, people noticed how the "new rpg" ad is similar to the ad they had when they hired for X1DE and X3 essentially, but it seems that cross-definitive edition should have been already in development or near-done at that moment, and we need to remember that Koh Kojima wasn't directing Future Redeemed, meaning he was doing something else, e.g., cross-DE or new game. So I think this "new rpg" hire might be in fact for a new xenoblade, which is in very early stages of production; however, right now they are already deep into developing their next non-xenoblade title for switch successor, which we will see in 2026/2027. Monolithsoft seems immune to proper leaks until voice actors slip up, so we can just speculate, but I think this is what is happening.

@@JBspherefreak Bastard betrays humanity because his family wasn't chosen to be preserved and instead of dying with his family or just living with the truth and recreate humanity in some form he betrays it to the very people that killed his family. Crappy motivations from a crappy character and if the creator had let me act as my own character he would be dead with the traitor Lin with him.
