Judge Mathis

Жыл бұрын

The plaintiff says her oldest daughter was incredibly rebellious growing up. She and her husband gave her daughter a loan, but the defendant and her spouse have not paid it back. The defendant and her husband claim they didn’t think they had to pay back the loan because it was used for their wedding.

Stealing a car isn't normal, but it is normal for older children to take what their parents own and think they are entitled to use it, too... My siblings and I knew not to do such bs, but I have a lot of cousins who did it, and know people who did it to their parents when they were younger. And sounds like they could afford a wedding, but that they overdid it. It was obvious they didn't have any plans and didn't even budget for anything. They probably just went with anything they liked, not caring that everything cost money and needs to be budgeted in. That's them being childish and having little sense.

My dress was 50 bucks! The venue was outside on our neighbors property, put up some party tents rented tables chair and dance floor, ended the night with a bonfire. My main concern was making sure we had enough alcohol for every one to have a good time and we did LOL in all seriousness I was more focused on beginning my marriage with the man I love. For several reasons these two have NO business whatsoever getting married!!! Can't communicate, can't rub two dimes together, can't understand that a wedding is NOT something to into debt for. This couple nor the parents are exercising wisdom. This is NOT how one starts a marriage. They're probably no longer married, but started off with huge amounts of debt. Everything begins with a budget. If you don't have money (which I think weddings are too extravagantly priced anyway), go to the courthouse and have a very small reception or an intimate dinner (a couple of people that are near and dear to you).

Shame on those Trifling overgrown folks using their senior citizen parents/in-laws and then lying about it. She is way too old for her parents to have to pay for her wedding. Get a job and pay for it yourself or get a 2nd job, if you already have one. I got married for the 1st and only time a week after my 49th birthday and had no children. My now late husband resided on the Island of Oahu. We had a simple wedding, Thanksgiving Sunday, 2006 after church in the beach. I wore a summer white pantsuit and he wore a dress shirt and pants. We had 2 witnesses, his eldest son and girlfriend/now wife along with their 2 year old daughter. We hired the officiant, a female clergy, off the internet to perform the ceremony. Afterwards we all went to a very nice sea food restaurant where my husband and i footed the bill. I didn't even have a honeymoon because we were already in paradise where i stayed for 2 weeks. Then i returned to the mainland and my home in Atlanta while i waited for my new husband to join me a few months later after he fulfilled his singing contract with his band of 22 years. I had was a very successful Realtor and my husband had a music career of 40 years but we wanted to do better things with our money. Thank God we were NOT foolish because a few months after getting married we discovered that my husband was in end state renal failure and ultimately had to go on disability. Then 3-4 years down the road he had to endure dialysis.. Within 6 months-1 year of getting married the Real Estate Market Crashed in 2007 but we were able to survive off of our savings. Use wisdom people and stop trying to keep up with the Jones/Smith families. Aloha!!!

This seems like one of those cases where the litigants are not really angry or hostile with each other ---- like they decided to just go and let the judge decide. It seems that way because they're grinning and laughing over at each other like they're all cool. ...Every now and then you get a case like that.
