Great list! MODOK is definitely my Marvel Legends figure of the year, it's a pretty perfect representation of the character in my eyes. I was cutting down on Marvel Legends collecting last year so I only got villain figures, but I'm glad I did since they were pretty amazing. Ultron was a big surprise, Lady Deathstrike is now my favorite female figure in the whole line and to me is the equivalent of Kang from last year in terms of quality for a unique sculpt, and despite colour issues I really like Dormammu. Surprisingly my favorite single release figure is probably Red Skull, the body sculpt really captures that classic comic art, but unlike a lot of the other villain figures this year he has WAY more posing options with all the hand and head options. It says a lot too since Ultron and Dormammu I both prefer as characters to Red Skull, but I feel he just has more options and I pose him around way more than those other figures. The deluxe Thanos I feel has a great body sculpt but I can't stand the head sculpt. I don't know what they were thinking with the expression, it was only a single panel in the comic and every time I look at it I picture him doing that goofy Seth Rogen laugh. An alternate head sculpt that actually fits the design of the body was all I needed to like that figure more rather than that King Thanos head sculpt or whatever it was called. Of my top 10, six were comic figures: Psycho Man Dormammu Ultron Lady Deathstrike Red Skull MODOK

I agree that MODOK is a great figure but for me I really didn’t NEED him. The Toybiz one still holds up IMO. Hasbros is probably better but only by a little. Good point about Red Skull!

Great list Wade! The Legends team went above and beyond with the quality of the line this year. They made me like figures of characters that I know nothing about like Ironheart, Dormammu, Armadillo and Ursa Major. I forgot about that Thanos which I love and made me regret preordering the Mezco version.

Sweet list! Great showcase of the ML comic figs for 2021. Nice job. Ursa Najor is my fave BAF. It’s just nuts. Modular IM is my fave. Ultron is a close second. Of all the ML Gamerverse Miles is my favorite ML with Into Spider-Verse Peter B and Miles being the next two. Surtur and Fat Thor are my favorite MCU. Iron Monger and Vulture redo are rounding off the top five with Odin. Good year for Legends.

Here's my take. I get the whole pinless argument, but to me, the comics-based Marvel Legend of the year 2021 is AI Iron Man Yes, the repaint. here's why: I saw the 80th Iron Man, knew I wanted one, but when I saw in store, I thought he would look so much better in bright yellow (instead of gold). I was to getting the Walgreens IronMan2020 to tear off the Steampunk bits. So glad I didn't. AI IronMan is the IronMan figure I've wanted since Hasbro took over: therefore, he gets Marvel Legends of the Year. Same deal with 80th Cap: So glad I never found him in Wal-Mart: I thought he'd look better in a brighter blue, and here comes the 20th Cap! ! ! !

I got that sabretooth it's sick and I just got wild child yesterday. I got them both wrapped up for my son to open up for either his bday or Christmas 🎄. These kinds of figures has brought us even closer. That lady deathstrike is one of my favorite figures. I can't wait to have more fun with it. I really need a thanos. Maybe I'll get the deluxe next paycheck. I really love ❤️ my armadillo baf!!! Got it for about 45 dollars!!!! I'll get xemnu soon hopefully. I currently have a bid out there for Mr. Hyde I'll know tonight if I won. I have that collosis and I have that shadow cat too!!! They're great together. His belt comes undone too easily. I got him with that sabretooth, shadow cat and cyclops for 58 dollars not including shipping and taxes. I do want Ursa. Dormamuu is another one of my favorite. Wish I had that version of red skull. He is expensive af. Some ppl don't like that dormamuu figure. That rogue is one of my favorites too. I do love that character too though

That Iceman is such a cool figure! Really wish I had picked one up when I had the chance! The fact that it’s mostly the Juggernaut wave Iceman, which was mostly the pizza Spidey mold, doesn’t really bother me, and that’s mostly due to the new torso, which on the original mold is the worst part of that figure. They did the exact same thing with nightcrawler, and that figure was basically perfect. I hope they do the same if they ever give us a classic Iron Fist, considering the modern one they did in the Dr. Strange movie wave was on the Pizza Spidey buck. All we need is a new torso and hips and the Iron Fist is basically perfect since they already have molds for his power hands and his head. A new head would be awesome but that’s just wishful thinking on my part.

Man, yall are really spoiled with pinless joints and butterfly joints. Not once have I asked for either of those things on a figure. If the shoulder joints are engineered right then you shouldn't even need butterfly joints. Just look at the ultimate spidey figure. His shoulders work so well he doesn't even need butterflies. Also it seems that the more they implement the butterfly joint the less motion you can actually get out of it. The absolute carnage figure they did recently gets fuck all movement out of his and all the new hulk figures cant move their shoulders forward at all. In most cases it just breaks up the sculpt to have them anyway. Thats why the white spider looks weird on any black spidey with those joints. Also the pins on the arms and legs have never jumped out at me as an eye sore like it has for most people. I barely notice them. Even if it's the red pins on the blue spidey arms it still just doesn't bother me. They're like invisible to me compared to how most people see them.

I've always wanted a classic Ultron, even before collecting action figures. So the Ursa Major wave Ultron is a dream come true. That being said, my figure has a really bad paint chipping problem. If not for that he may be my favorite. 1. Ultron/Module armor 2. Retro Thanos 3. Retro FF (except invisible Woman's face) 4. stealth armor (it looks way cooler in person than it has any right) 5. AI iron man (imo a worse 80th but much more accessible)

I doubt on the "re-releasing". Hasbro is known for re-releasing, re-use and repeat. I'm just hoping if ever they try to re-release they improve there big figs with the arms double joint they could base that on the big legs.

Feel like Mr Hyde was just missing either an extra head sculpt or another set of hands for some more posing options, he just feels a little limited. Also bend Hasbro over, its about time for the standard to be pinless and therefore anything not isn't acceptable for consideration. Overall a really solid list and I like the way you broke up the categories. Its not a comic book figure but my overall #1 for ML is Zombie Cap.

I would say give us more Deluxe figure releases and instead of BAF parts give us MORE accessories. Funny you put Iceman on your list, every single Iceman release should be at least a Deluxe version so we can get effects parts/ice slide parts. And realistically skipping over Iceman during their short series of vehicle releases was a dumb (classic Hasbro) move altogether.
