thnx! Could you make a video about how to handle data when there are empty cells, for example, missing dates, prices, names, emails, phone numbers, etc.? How could I fill or manage them?

I've never used the pivot function, but now that I've seen it, it turns out I need it in one data set. Thanks!

Let's assume we have a numeric column, in addition to the Date column, that we do not want to unpivot. This numeric column is used in a card visual to display its sum. However, when we unpivot only three columns (Shirts, Trousers, and Mats), the values in the numeric column are duplicated, causing the card visual to display an incorrect, inflated sum. How can we correct this?

Thank you! Helped a lot. I didn't realize was that simple to resolve. Very good video.

Nice idea, but problem is if you want to reuse your code for several queries, the column names change... you need a way to keep it working dynamically

Just saw that on your website you addressed this, and provided a simple solution... thank you!

In my case when I pivote some of the data becomes null but before unpivoting there were numerical values

Thanks for this. If you got to the microsoft learn page for unpivot, they don't even MENTION what happens with null values so I kept removing data from my data set without even realizing it! WTF!

This gonna be a little harder to explain in Dutch. 😅 As a numerical placeholder you could always use the Max value + some non-zero number, dynamically (no overlap).

That makes sense, thanks Geert. That also means you can keep the column numeric
