Unplug and Play Day Five

This is the last of a five-part documentary series showcasing the epic Bendigo Creek in all its forms and the natural environment that surrounds it.
Jessie and Kai spend their last night out in the open, and Kai experiences every angler’s nightmare.
The pair hears first-hand the devastation of the January floods on the local community, and slowly ventures ever co closer to their final destination.
Their physical and mental strength is tested yet again as they experience the beauty of the Murray River and start to reflect on their achievements.
Unplug & Play is a North Central Catchment Management Authority campaign to get Gen Z to disconnect from technology and connect back with their environment.
After receiving applications from around Australia, Bendigo local Kai Humphrey and Jessie Manuelyan from Melbourne were chosen for the journey of a lifetime.
Paddling, wadding and trekking the 160km length of Victoria’s Bendigo Creek, without their phones, their every move was documented by a film crew.
Watch as they tackle obstacles and are challenged both mentally and physically along the way.
What happens when you challenge two Gen Z to put down their phones and get back to nature?
