I'm not exaggerating when thinking that your films are transforming my perspective on "what is to live". Society has made simplicity such an effort, and and a simple life is such a thought-provoking one. The amazing people featured in your films and the thoughts they share, the breathtaking shots of nature, all of them are helping me to stop and contemplate each piece of art living in each moment. Thanks for the great work :)

We tend to think that we can't live without things like social media and smart phones that we forget how recent these inventions really are. It wasn't that long ago that social media wasn't a thing and we lived perfectly fine without it then and can live without them again. Instead of allowing the world tell us who we should be via likes and subscriptions and so on, we need to tell the world who we are and the only way to do that is to live authentically and find our truth. I wish that everyone could know the dangers of social media and yes here we are on youtube watching your beautiful videos. There is a new movie called "The Social Dilemma" and if it does not scare you off of social media, nothing will! I unplugged a year ago from FB etc and then ditched the cell phone a few months ago, it is the best thing I have ever done. Ones awareness of everything elevates, falling leaves, spider webs with dew, crows fussing with squirrels, raindrops, it is remarkable and I have a heightened sense of joy. Those feeling of bliss that you can not describe. Time on this machine is limited also......sigh....I want to let it go also, but would miss the few lovely things a few lovely people do. Reconnecting face to face, or by letter writing is crazy hard and should be a natural thing, but I am finding it is not. Living in an instant world is not healthy. Hi Peter great advice. And if I could humbly add to this- everyone and anyone can paint, we can all do mark-making it's expressing from within, it doesn't have to look like a so-called master painter's work, but it's good enough to just paint for the sake of it, to feel the joy of expressing with a paintbrush, a palette knife, or our hands, a stick whatever, but have fun with that colourful paint and feel the bliss. Since both my parents died last year ( my mother died in May 2019 and my father died in December 2019) I often paint rainbows for the fun of it, it's easy, for the simplicity of it, for the love of colour and i paint rainbows my way such as green rainbows (different shades of gorgeous greens) and all different colours. I painted a rainbow with chocolate brown in it. Lol. My mother had brown eyes, coincidentally my mother was a McDonald before she married my father (they were married for 62 years). What a great channel Green Renaissance is - a gem about getting real about life, I love it. Bless you Peter. 🌠

I relate so deeply. When I first realised that I was using Instagram to validate me, it was extremely saddening and disappointing. I would do things, dress a certain way and interact with people just for a photo or a new post. I havent had instagram for 3 years, and haven't had facebook for 10. Once I got rid of instagram I started only doing things that I wanted to do, I saved so much scrolling time and stress and had to come to terms with being with myself and not trying to prove who I am to anyone else. It takes away your identity and makes you turn into something people want you to be or what you think is 'cool' or 'trendy'. Its so insane. After deleting instagram I had a lot of mental struggles about coming to terms with not having my life validated by likes or the tribe of followers, but it is the best thing I ever did.

Nature returns me to mindfulness, to the wonder of the present moment. It recenters me. Deep, meaningful conversations draw me into the realization that the light of the sacred dwells within each of us. I was born in 1951 in a very small place where neighbors had to lean on each other when a blizzard or severe thunderstorm swirled around us. @@ReflectionsofLife Hi Justine. The 'wake up' was my 2 year old grandson saying "No Phone, No Phone" when I was busy surfing (un)social media and checking emails, instead of playing and paying attention to him. ditching my (3!) smartphones and buying and using a $30 dumbphone, was my first tiny personal act of rebellion. Also I was addicted to smartwatches, Apple watch, two Android watches, two Fitbits and my old Garmin Vivo, I got tired of the constant buzzing on my wrist. Yes you can turn off the notifications, but then why have a smartwatch? Inspiring message, as usual. I'm so glad you covered this issue of focusing on the simple to detox sometimes. The paradox between the ease with which we are connected and the superficiality of the connections they bring is no easy issue to solve, (perhaps inevitable as society progresses and advances) (?) We think so much about what others think in this world we live in, taking less time to appreciate what we think independent of others. Now in the COVID-era, I hope everyone realizes the importance of face-to-face, human interactions. Without it there really is no life... I don't think this is an overstatement :) And, of course, every one of your films really make me want to visit South Africa one day to take in all the natural beauty it offers. I can tell your team makes these with so much heart. One of the best discoveries I've made recently is finding your channel, it is such a respite~

Greatest sadness is the disconnect from nature and somehow seeing ourselves as separate! What a statement she made. How much of the deep grief in so many souls could be soothed by stepping away just to be in nature. I lived on board a Naval vessel for 11 years. Sharing every space that was available. I always had to share my sleeping quarters and never had my own bathroom. I learned to sleep on a thin mattress and on a twin size rack with a rack above me. No social media, phones, or internet. I didn’t choose that life style, that was chosen for me. I’m home now and still live with that minimalist perspective. I could and would like to live in a one room log cabin/house, where everything is pretty much in one room. I cook and bake as a career so a practical kitchen is my only desire. But I can see how choosing this type of lifestyle and life could be something most won’t consider. Also, it’s after you hv proven certain things to yourself, that you begin to seek solace , nature, crafts, music, animals, and God bc you’re inner struggles are fulfilled and so you turn to the spiritual. The infinite God. I like to see the lives of folks that hv carved out a life of their choosing. Thanks for sharing.

Now the only thing which makes me happy is, The People around me, Being in touch with nature, Be kind to other people, treat others the way I want to be treated. that's what I learn from your films ''STAY HUMAN & BE KIND'' and that can make a big difference to live a beautiful life. I wish your work reaches millions of people. Whenever you upload a video I share it with all my friends and tell them to watch it right now haha. I have been doing this for almost one and a half years and I don't think I will ever get tired of it.. :). Thank you Dev

Wonderful and beautiful,I saw the musician play Tabla and it was quite nice to see it there 😇 How I can relate to your movies is because I left my job as an economist working as a top consultant to be a musician and I had an accident last year and then the covid 19 virus which put me out of my music work for over an year and made me question my decision to follow my heart and live a simple life but your movies give me strength that there are many more people like me out there and I am on the right path, maybe a little bumpy at the moment, but I shall get used to it,thanks for making such movies ☺️🙏🏼

Hello friends I recently found your channel( a couple of hours ago). One of your video popped in my youtube recommendations and I clicked on it to know what is it and now am feeling blessed due to that!!!!! You guys are letting people know others life and experiences. You guys are spreading humanity. I feel so blessed to know about these stories at a young age (just a teen). I think mostly these stories reach out people so lately. I search for these types of videos a lot. I like to see life from others perspectives. I like to hear stories. And these videos presents the real storytellers. My friends call me an old soul because I don't use any social medias. I'm not into the new songs. It's just me and my books and loads and loads of stories and love for travel and experiences and mountains and forests and all the nature. I love to learn about plants and animals and human nature and all the mysterious things from space to people. I love the smell of books and soil. I love rain. I don't like buying new gadgets and dresses and cramming it all in your home. I like to talk a lot. I like to tell stories. But nowadays people don't have time to talk or listen because they're so busy in their phones. When we are gonna eat something, they start to click pictures of the food and posts it on the social media. I always do think that these people don't even know what the real world is!!!!!! They don't know what beauty it has!!!!!! All these people want is lots of stuffs to fill their homes and make them look pretty. I'm so sick 🤢 of all these people living in an unreal world. But out here, in your channel I found real people. They are in these videos sharing their stories. They are in the comments section. You guys are doing a great work. You guys are helping people find themselves. Thanks for helping me. Thanks for helping all these people out here. I don't even know why I've written such a long comment. But thanks for all these efforts you've made to help others. You guys are doing something really great!!!!!

This resonates with me and is very essential for me in my life ❤. I live in this moment to moment presence of being open to the mystery of life. Following my heart fearlessly and finding the joy regardless of what is happening in my life. I listen and witness the magnificence around me. I don't need a cell phone, a computer or a social media connection. I have a tablet that is a gift for me ,since the virus has changed the world. I am finding that I am not interested in any channels except for Green Renaissance and a very few others. I don't think I will continue to put my energy on trying to find a place where I can enjoy and stay with the flow of energies in the digital world. I am so excited about nature and the blessings of being alive and learning from the environment. I do spend time reading nonfiction books and writing about my own personal thoughts and ideas, and listening to music. I love to grow vegetables, ornamental plants to build the soil in it's fertility. I also love to cook, bake and do domestic stuff like washing dishes and clothes and cleaning house. Living with love and kindness and the celebration of being alive and learning from all of my experiences is a delightful blessing that never ends. ✨Thanks for the posting of such amazing and very inspiring people ❤

So beautiful. Your films are a definite "reset" for me! I especially love the point about the lack of authenticity we are cultivating in our relationships through social media. SM is not merely a time-sucker, but a diversion from the real connection we long for. Such a needed film right now! And I know you think it is "ironic", this digital offering, but unlike the "flatness" of our screen relationship and zoom meetings right now, somehow you have achieved otherwise. Like an impactful piece of art or music which draws us in, your films do that. How I can engage with the screen and feel myself "reset" to calm is no small accomplishment. Thank you!

Thanks you so much Mariejo, Faine, Ronan and Green Team for your profound HONESTY, WISDOM and BEAUTY . "It takes me away from LIVING." Mariejo This reminds me of the Daili Lama's response when asked what surprised him most about humanity; “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.” - Dalai Lama
